Absolutely love this video. I liked that the lyrics clearly show the romance of Wangxian, but the relationship between Chengxian was also really a perfect addition. Everything that they felt, that they went thru, the love and hate and realisation and desperation and despair, it was all perfect, so I was really happy with the earlier scenes that included Jiang Cheng as he's a big part of Wei Ying's life and one of his biggest reasons to love.
Great video. Lyrics were timed well with the scenes The song does suit what Lan Wangji went through while loving his Wei Ying :) Im happy the donghua made it clear in the end.
0:28 I really get annoyed that the anime and the live action gloss over this part cause to me, I feel as though this part is really important to the show. They really only show this scene once in the anime and I really do think It should of been shown more as that's when wei wuxian lost his parents and lived out on the streets. Other than that this is a really good AMV! It expresses the show really well!

In the book it is implied that they will probably never have the same relationship again, because of what happened (I think the author talked about it in an interview as well). Which is a pity, but book jc and donghua jc kinda deserve it imho. I do feel bad for wei ying though.
@@dom_dom3097 I personally think jiang cheng did a lot of the tearing apart himself. He is too much like his mother. He literally cut wei ying off because he didn't want to look weak in front of the other clan leaders. Wei Ying isn't free of blame either, but his actions towards his brother were a lot more justifiable imho.

Jiang Cheng cut Wei Ying off because of WY's petition (you can read in novel again) and at that time, Jiang clan has just rebuilt and very very weak, if he didn't, the Jiang clan will be condemned and overthrown by other clans under the pretext of covering up Demonic. Jiang Cheng was stress very much. So that is the best way to do.
