    This review was very thorough. I especially appreciated the note regarding the how easy it is to depress the button, not causing any strain etc.

    Wow. I have an immersion blender and didn't think to make mayonnaise whipped cream or apple sauce with it. More natural without added preservatives. Thanks, again.

    Thanks for the info Anita! 😃👍🏻👊🏻 ..... I'll definitely remember to use your link when my cheapo immersion blender needs replacing, I'm nowhere near the cook that you are, but an immersion blender has definitely been my go to for scrambled eggs and pancake batter!

    I just got this from Amazon. It is model Q5000, like yours. Mine had no recipe book with it. So I searched for a demo of how to use it with the beaker. Very helpful video! When you make Mayo the oil is added last in small quantities so it will emulsify oil with vinegar and egg. If you put the oil in the beaker last it will float on top. Then you start blending on the bottom and slowly raise the blender up and the oil will mix in bit by bit. I saw a Chef do it that way.

      no thats wrong. When you make Mayo with immersion blender you dont have to add oil like that. You add them all together like she did and they emulsify because thats what the immersion blender does better than other gadgets, emulsifying

    I had a Braun for about 15 years (made in Germany) and was broken hearted when it died. I got another (different brand) and it lasted a year before the motor started sounding strange and little parts started cracking. Thanks for this review!! Other online reviews are very, very favorable. I use my Vitamix for big jobs etc., but love an immersion for smaller quick preparations. Thank you!

      me too. bought mine from an infomercial in the 1980s for $50. dropped it recently and broke off a chunk of the plastic. also stepped on the plug many times and have had to pull the prongs back in shape. the attachments have all bit the dust but darn thing still works but i am close to needing a new one.i wish that old model was still being made!

    I have a Braun immersion blender. which must be 30 years old. I shall use it until it dies then replace it with a new Braun.

    Between Cuisinart and the KitchenAid because I’m searching for a new Immersion Blender, Braun is slowly starting to be added on my list of choices of which brand to go to.

    Great review and demonstrations - so helpful, thank you! I'm deciding between this MQ Vario, the MQ7, and possibly the Vitamix since it's got the guard to protect my enameled cast iron pots. My aim is mostly to purée soups, so I'd love to hear your thoughts or suggestions for protecting pots using this Braun. Also wondering - how well does this model do puréeing cooked stringy vegetables like celery and fennel? Thanks again for your review!!

    What's the connection between the shaft and the attachments like? Are the parts that transfer the power from the machine to the attachments made of plastic or metal? The reason I'm asking is because some of the blenders on the market are all plastic and will break easily.

    Thanks for the video, it's a nice introduce. I would like to ask you something about the blender that constantly bothers me: in 1:14 of video it can be seen, Is the inner surface of the housing where the blender blades are, coated with anything other than steel? I can't find an explanation for this anywhere. Does it feel like a different texture when touched or is it just steel?

    Can you make arabic garlic sauce (toum) with it & if yes, what would be the perfect ratio of ingredients?
    Buying this blender will definitely open up a lot of options for my home cooking. Great video by the way.

      Look up videos “Toum Immersion Blender”. They should have recipes there. I make toum using food processor though. I haven’t tried using my old immersion blender because I have one that splatters all over the place; I prefer the garlic smell on my breath and not on my clothes 😅

    I’m curious if it would work for hummus. I make small amounts at a time and a regular blender is too big, I think.

    I don’t know if anyone can help with this. I don’t have a lot of understanding of wattages and their translation in small appliances to useful power.
    This model has 400 watts and I think it would be perfectly sufficient for my uses, but I want a shush attachment. Long story short, just the attachment is $30 and for less than that combined price, I can purchase this model with the whisk and a couple of other attachments I don’t want or need. There is another model with just the whisk as an extra for a lower price, bit only has 350 watts.
    My question is how much of a difference in power does that 50 watts translate into when using the blender? Thanks in advance!

    • @abdelkaderelbachir3817
      @abdelkaderelbachir3817 2 роки тому +3

      I'd say 50 Watt is not that much of a difference but to be honest with you from experience appliances like these with a lot of extra attachments and accessories are not that reliable usually the more features the more will be a chance for something to go wrong I highly suggest to buy a separate stick mixer and hand beater at least if something went wrong you won't lose everything

    • @Lucinda_Jackson
      @Lucinda_Jackson 2 роки тому +1

      Thanks so much for responding! I really appreciate your help. I just read what my phone chose to translate my typing into - shush for whisk? - so I’m amazed you didn’t just write me off as a nut!
      I agree that accessories are often relatively useless - that’s why I’m not really interested in any of the other attachments. I have a chopper, though I mostly just grab a knife, so I’d absolutely never use that accessory or the masher. But the whisk is something I think I would use often enough to justify the extra cost. In fact, it might mean I’d get enough use from the stick blender to make the whole thing worthwhile. I’d be more likely to grab it since it could just live in a drawer. 😊

      The instruction book says NOT to use it on ice or nuts or hard things. So what would you consider “difficult” things?
