Humbled by all the positive comments. I'm checking these on the daily as this video is very important. If it speaks to you, please share on your socials and let me know what comments your friends have to say. 2021 is gonna be a year that our country comes together. I can feel it.
I love this, the vocals and the beat, and the lyrics are really inspiring as a black man.
Love your material dude. Keep it going. You’re going to more famous one day.
Im loving the video too, shows so many sacrifices made...too many. Detroit red was a hell of man
I’m 50. My daughter is 27. We both got emotional when he went super sayan. Beautiful imagery. So so so on point. We loved it. Keep up the good work. I will have to follow your path from this point on.
Sup Willie I really love this song! Look I am a small streamer on Facebook and I want to know if there’s any way possible that I can get your permission to play this song on my streams?

He's so talented
Dude, how are you not the top country singer in the world. Most unique country music ever! Incredible!
He's black. Per the song....America.
He's black duh?
Sadly genre boxes are still segregated. Country stations shy away from black artist… 96% of black artist played on those stations are the same three black men. And that is years after not getting any air time ie Darrius R.
Let’s do our part and spread the word about his great music
関係ない、彼は最高の歌手だ。白も黒も関係ない。曲で証明してるだろ?

White dude here, 50 and this song is awesome! We are all Americans, we need to be united. Showed friends and family this song! Keep up the hard work brother! We will get there!
If you mean what you say then brother- help unite Black communities with white communities ✅⭐️...only you can do it- no1s coming to you America 🇺🇸- you had it all- please don't lose it again. Peace ✌️ from UK.🇬🇧.
I as a 47 year old white man and educator, I thought your message was relevant and perfectly spoken through your lyrics..... The tone was on point. I know that I myself and many of my mostly white colleagues strive to get this message out there to our students... which are predominantly children of color.......Thank you for this gift....
God blessed you brother : )
Thank you Ryan - glad you enjoyed it
apologize him for being white XDDDDD
Educator? More like brainwasher......now just apologize for being white and sit back and watch willie slam your wife. Weakling.......

This song is absolutely amazing. It belongs at the tops of charts. I’m white and i think this song is amazing.
This is the type of songs we need more of ❤❤❤❤
This should be the black American anthem. Profound message of history and hope.
My first time discovering Willie. I think dude has a really promising career ahead.

Hello Willie!
I’m the old white man from Bozeman Montana that gave you $40 at the Lakers game. I like your message and your music. I pray that we do come together as a country and begin to heal the horrible past. It was nice to meet you. May God Bless you always.
This song is amazing. I’m so glad I can listen to country music from people who look like me. And Black country is GOOD. What a time to be alive 😭
I’m a white man and I’m learning from the black community what it’s like living here. Is it truly that hard as a black person living in the USA? It shouldn’t be hard for anyone. I’m sorry that I haven’t seen it before. But I’m starting to understand. It’s people like you that will wake up the masses and make us all see the truth. Music truly is the eye opener to the world in my opinion. God Bless you man.
The biggest problem for them is that systemic racism is ingrained in the country. I'd read about Beulah Mae Donald. Mudbound is a good movie to watch. And I heard The 1619 Project is a good book to read. That book is at the heart of a lot of controversies these days. But I'd also read about the Tulsa race massacre or watch a doc on it. There is a lot of history they didn't teach us in HS.
Thank you for the acknowledgement of the struggle that is still plaguing the black community. Now to help others like you see. Then push for changes.
Yes. You should definitely keep learning about it. Systemic racism is alive and citizens also be racist to others too
Your music is so timely... No music should not be about color...but heart, soul and spirit... you captured all of this in your music, not only this song..but your others.. i am proud of you, although I do not know you... You have showed that country music is not a color... it is so sad that you will have an uphill battle in this music branch... however all people of color are used to fighting and standing strong... so stand strong Black Man. You are an inspiration to all people...
This is the song that makes American dream great again.
This is a raw and very emotional as a Black Man raising three young Black Men! Thank you for this song. People are waking up🙏🏽🙏🏽
Thank you so much. Please continue to pray, support and share my son’s video.May God Bless you and your three young kings..👑
#proudmom
Willie may not realize that being a black man entering the white dominated world of country music, he has himself become a physical sign of peace. Hes opening doors that he never could have imagined in bringing blacks, whites etc together as one. This song shines light on how we still have more work to do to ensure every human is viewed as equal. PoWORDSfull
@@nonalisajones2262 I came across your son’s music for the first time today (when he was on The Tonight Show). I’m happy to see a young black artist who has something to say instead of the usual commercial drivel that’s out there. You should be very proud of your son. ✊🏾👍🏾✌🏾❤️

Hello
Not a country music fan until I come across Willie Jones on XFactor. Will be following
A powerful message song. I have my take on life but some ppl ain’t ready. But if only folks start reading the Bible they will see there is hope in one man, Jesus and his father, our God Jehovah; will undo all pain and suffering we all face Daniel 2:44. Love your style 🔥
I’m a Black American woman and these lyrics spoke to me. Loved it and shared it ❤️
Facts
Stop trying to shadow ban this song!!
Willie Jones, a few months back, I happened upon your initial performance on the XFactor. I’m not much of a country music listener, but I do enjoy some country music. I was blown away by your performance and started listening to your music. But man, this song and video takes it to another level. Most songs you just listen to. Some songs you connect with. Then there are those songs, and videos, that are iconic. They transcend just being just songs and become anthems. For me, American Dream does just that. It is anthem for these times. As a father to two Black boys and as an educator focused on addressing persistent racial disproportionality in suspensions and expulsions of Black students in our schools, and its connection to the school-to-prison pipeline, American Dream is powerful and needed statement right now. Thank you.
Wowwwww!!!! 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾 I totally agree!!! So nicely said!!!
Totally agree. Willy jones is a superb performer with a beautiful timber to his voice that makes me listen to every word he sings. I’m white, and live in Australia, but this song is very relevant for these times we live in. Wonderful song, wonderful performance, thank you. X
I, too, discovered Willie Jones through his X-factor audition. So glad to have found this gentle man! Great message and great music!
This song brought tears to my eyes! Wow!!! You are so right about this song... Keep safe.
VERY WELL SAID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Really just a great song and video, reminds me of my father telling me about black people serving in Korean Conflict who could not vote in American elections, yet fighting for America. Love this song so much.
This man made 2020 better, 2021 is his year 🕊
This is a great song , with heart felt lyrics. True that.

I am a Jamaican woman. And I could understand and relate to your message. I love your southerness and the fact that you could capture all that is happening in one song. Truly powerful and inspiring... I love how you have built on what you started xfactor with. I have been looking out for you from then, to see what you produce. Did not disappoint. Keep breaking barriers and making music that speaks a message not hype nor fame, but true to you and your people.

Wow. Mr. Willie Jones, I went back to the X-Factor, and sweetie you blew me away with that Country song, I love Country Music but you sang it as the Creator of the song did, with a twist. Stay humble! Your family is so loveable. keeping my eye on you. Tears, oh my gawds we need to get back too when we stood for each other. This song touched me, one i love seeing his rise from xfactor to one of my favorite artists
This is one of those songs that pierce the soul, definitely looking into more of your music while I'm on the road
The American dream isn’t dead. It’s in the hearts and souls of the patriots that still BELIEVE in this country 🇺🇸
This song is an amazing piece of songwriting from an amazing singer/songwriter! I'm from Shreveport Louisiana and I know what Willie Jones is talking about. I know what he means when he says it's different being a black man then it is being a white man especially in Shreveport Louisiana and and a whole lot of places across this country. Willie Jones, you nailed it bro! And the spoken word you put in on the top of that was just icing on the cake that was amazing!
I'm a new fan and a fan 4life!
I don't think people realize it but Black Country is a new genre and its kick ass! It mixes what traditional country was about with story telling, more love and life related stories in music that many people can relate to. Not violent, not destructive, but just cool shit. Lil Nas X and Willie Jones are my two favorites now! Love this song! You and Lil Nas X should do a bad ass video/song together. And include Billy Ray Cyrus again just because it makes sense.
Not many songs bring tears.
But this is 1 of 3 so far.
I felt every bit of this song.
I just looked you up to see where you are now and I'm so proud. My mama loved you on x factor...... ❤
Thank you for bearing your soul in your music. Your vulnerability humanizes black masculinity.
that's a deep way to put it Eric. Thank you
Willie Jones, You Are Incredible.....Your Voice is a Blessing from God. Continue using it for Good, Encouragement and Love! WOW.....Continued Success, Dear One!!
Love this guy! Hope he stays country. That's just the best show of his voice. Happy to buy his music!
How does this not have millions of views yet?! Wtf?!?

How is this underrated. Man you should be on billboards. You're amazing. Cheers from Philippines.
Billboards are up :) Not in the Philippines but all over the U.S. Thanks for the love.
Because country radio is racist against black artists.
They are afraid of because they know black people are superior to them and will out sell white artist if given the chance.
See id listen to a lot more country if they put a change on it a little like this

I never used to listen to country Music before but I love it now because of your music dear willies. Your music goes direct to a black mans heart, am lucky your fan from Uganda in east Africa..... Thanks for that emotional message live.....
Will Jones is one of the most underrated musicians out there to this date. I love his songs and his story telling but American Dream is to another level. We need this today. It frustrates me when people like Will doesn’t have millions of views and recognition now but I guarantee if he continues to be himself and make music like this, you will be remembered for a long time. Just like your song, your story, you are breaking barriers with new country fusion music. Great stuff and impeccable talent. As a black man myself who love all music and all people, this resonates. Great story and keep positive people around you. Don’t give up, the music industry is tough but regular people like us will carry you to that Grammy podium. Wish you and your family the best man.
Thank you. We're just getting started...
I so agree!! He deserves to be recognized for his talent and his “presence”…His voice in this song…perfection! His lyrics in this song…perfection!

I fell in love with you, young'un on the "X Factor". This is the best! So powerful: your voice, the lyrics. When I heard MLK speak live, the first time I was 13. My very spirit became committed to the Cause because of that speech. 71 years later; this song reminded there are still voices being raised for that Cause. And, you, young Brother, do it well. Thank you!
