RULES CORRECTION: When determining if you can collect an ecosystem token, only ONE of the two trees on either side of the token must be three sections or taller (not both, as stated in the video). This rule can be found in the rulebook at the top of page 11. I apologize for any confusion! Thanks to @dceretta for kindly pointing out my error. 🙂 RULE CHANGE: There is an updated rulebook with errata about huckleberries. As of this update (Oct 10, 2024), I could not access the updated rulebook, but Ben Eisner stated the following: "The Huckleberry errata clarifies that they may not be discarded to Wildfire. On page 15 under Wildfire, the italicized text has been changed to: You may discard Trillium, Cat Tail Moss, Chanterelle, or Salal to Wildfire. Huckleberry may not be discarded. And under Huckleberry on the same page, the final line says: ...Huckleberry cards may not be discarded until Cleanup at the end of the Season." Updated rulebook: boardgamegeek.com/filepage/287377/canopy-evergreen-rulebook-web-version
Per the rule book page 11, at least one tree has to be three sections or taller to gain the token. ONLY when BOTH trees are only 2 sections ( root and canopy) tall is the token not gained. As this is an instructional video that is referred to in the rules I thought it important to mention this. If I have misinterpreted the rule I apologize.
Thank you for noticing this! Somehow this slip made it past two levels of review! 😳 I will pin a comment to the top of the comments. I have to say that I'm baffled as to how I made this error, as my video outline was correct... I think I smashed together that sentence and the next one in the rulebook in my head. 😕
Thank you for video. Question about fox ability,.if players can't look, that.means they could choose take card randomly from that.pile? Also if they divide to not look and skip that pile they still need to add random card on the top? Does fox owner next round could look into that pile or rule would apply to him too? Also been ability,.if be owned choose to pay 1 food and take 1 card is he needs ad new.card.to.that pile ?
For the Fox ability, it only applies to other players, so the owner of the Fox token could still look at the pile; if they decide to take the pile, the Fox token would come back to them in it's "used" state (grey side up). When other players decide to pass on the Fox pile, they do add a card to it. If they instead decide to take the Fox pile, they take the entire pile without looking. I hope that answers your Fox questions - let me know if it doesn't! I'm not sure about your last question, I don't recall a situation where you pay a food to take a card, but I'm happy to look it up if you clarify what you're asking. 🙂 I'm glad you enjoyed the video! Thanks for watching and commenting!
I'm sure there will be some people who backed the Kickstarter who will sell their game within a month or two. I've had great luck with used games from the BGG Marketplace. 🙂 Thanks for watching and commenting!
Thanks for asking! This is what Tim Eisner said, "We have interested parties in Germany, but nothing confirmed. We hope to have licensing agreements finalized a month or two after Essen. If you know publishers who might be interested please let us know."

Thank you for highlighting this one. I Kickstarted the game and am hopeful of getting my copy soon!
If you enjoyed the original Canopy, you will almost certainly enjoy this one - in my opinion, it improves on an already great game!
Got my copy today! Punched out everything and will play this coming weekend
Exciting! 🎉 I'm looking forward to hearing what you think! 😀

Thank you for that video. If I find an used copy, I may try that game.

Will the game be in German?
