X was an amazing movie and now I wanna see Ti West's other work. Be interesting to see what else is in store for the 'X Cinematic Universe' lol
Ti already has an X sequel in development, and I can't confirm it anywhere else, but I read something a while ago that said he also has plans for a 3rd film as well, which I kinda want them to be titled XX and XXX respectively. You know, to fit the theme... Other than that, he has stated that he wants each film to have its own distinct style and genre of horror. Much like how X was heavily influenced by Texas Chainsaw and Mario Bava flicks, he envisioned Pearl to be a sick combination of old Douglas Sirk melodramas and "a demented Technicolor Disney movie" (which is a combo I never thought I needed until now). So, very curious to see what types of horror and film styles he'll evoke in future...

I got really lucky and managed to help out on set for a few days. The producer took me behind the scenes and shown me tons! Was an awesome experience.
I think the trailer looks fantastic. I loved X and I am looking forward to seeing the origin of the Pearl character.

I love that we get to see the backstory of Pearl and that they are delving more into mindset and life and that we get to see just how demented and psychotic that she was even when she was a young woman and had been for decades leading up to X.
Mia was incredible in X playing two roles and this is just going to her the ability to show even more of her acting talents and to make a name for herself as an up and coming slasher villain and actress. ☺❤

This movie looks beautiful but yet sadistic, haunting and Alfred Hitchcock/Ari Aster/Darren Aronofsky vibes.

X was my favorite horro.movie this year so far and I am so amped to watch this prequel and blessed to get to do it in the same year!
I was bummed that there wasn't anything after the credits both times I watched X in cinemas in Australia. Glad I finally got my first look

This movie is such a weird combination of things a technicolor,musical,slasher character study not a lot of movies with those elements. Im intrigued and also i hope Ti West can get more fame because i think he is very talented.

Unfortunately what Vanessa said about staying till the credits on X doesn't apply anymore, cause they removed the end credits tease for Pearl from the Blu-Ray (and probably the digital too, idk. I'm a physical media kinda guy). Either way though, I am so looking forward to this. X is my 3rd favorite film so far this year, underneath Everything Everywhere All At Once at #1 and The Black Phone at #2, but judging by the trailer, Pearl looks to be even better and even more insane than X and I am all here for it. Mia Goth was fantastic in X and she looks like she's not gonna knock it out of the park here, but instead knock it straight out of the stratosphere!! I think her performance will also be great considering that she's an executive producer and co-writer here, so I'd be curious to know how much of Pearl's origin was her own idea as well as Ti's, cause from both X and this trailer, you can tell she absolutely love, love, LOVED playing this character and delving into her origin and psyche. It's sadly unlikely to happen, but I'd be really happy if she got an Oscar nom for either film (though I'm still rooting for Michelle Yeoh to win the Best Actress race for EEAAO, personally...). Either way, September can't come soon enough for this!!
BTW, Mia Goth is one of the most impressive actors I've seen in a long time.
