they are right and wrong at the same time, i guess they planned to rush run like 10+ times in a row like 10+ min per dungeon and they needed do for that u cant blame em for not taking useless low aoe rogue
by creating a fake narrative that you ignored they said big DPS for a grind group? Must be an FF14 butt hurt fan or something. Tons of normal groups going out and you choose to mess with people looking to grind versus just a dungeon run.
The fact that this is a real thing is fucking insane to me.
Especially considering one of the main points Blizz made about not including LFD was that it encouraged a toxic environment. ***eye roll***
No LFD encourages toxic enviorment and its what all the classic Andies wanted. Miss me with that social experience consisting of "inv dps", and then "wtf no swp gear" and getting kicked.
Its becuase people in good gear look for other experienced and good players, wanting good clear times for high exp/hr how is that so insane?
@@bertilsteenlaursen7796 If the group advertised itself that way, then there isn't a problem. If you don't make it clear, then expecting players to be in full bis raid gear from the last expansion for the first incredibly easy (even with boosted toon greens) dungeon is just rude.
It's insane because it's easy as fuck and literally the first dungeon. Sorry you can't do RFC or WC because you didn't enchant your level 10 weapon

This literally happened yesterday. Went into Utgarde, 2 SWP geared guys join the group, we never said we would do spam, just a single quest run, they start flaming us for being meme geared.

Catas 40x the expansion Wrath ever was, i never understood the huge hype for Wrath, its like NONE of you guys ever played it back in the day, or you just simply choose to forget about the fact that WRATH was what RUINED this game EVERYTHING IN IT WAS FOCUSED TO CASUALS, IT DESTROYED THIS GAME.

Loads of people on forums have been saying this, I had 2 days left on my sub so decided to log on and see for myself and all I saw was "LFM Dungeon spam (Full brutal req)" or "LFM dungeon spam (insert high gearscore requirement)" .. The games gone

@@sinsduden if you're looking for randoms in world chat I would expect them to have basic leveling gear when they join. If you wanted the sunwell geared player then maybe it would be more helpful for everyone involved to maybe look elsewhere.

Yep, this definitely is the state of current classic. Everyone trying to min-max a 2008 game where people ran compaq presacio hardware from 2000. It's a shame that people think they are method instead of just enjoying the game. Oh well, at least when I join groups, I stick to groups with the expectation that min-max isn't a requirement.
Yeah, that's what I find more dumb: The content is perfectly doable without minmaxing; It is only faster.

Im a new player (as in I started with classic, didnt previously play wow retail or vanilla) and I've had the time of my life. Just have to know how to navigate the bullshit, not tolerate it, and more importantly find players who are in it for the fun and don't treat it like a 2nd job.

This. I've had a few sweat lord friends that left our casual guild for 'greener' pastures to complain in my DMs a few days later how sweaty their peers are and how much they expect them to pick up their own slack. People rarely want to live the standards they expect out of others.

Was WoW always like this? I remember playing 15 years ago and it seems like a whole different playerbase and mentality now. Even with RP servers, nobody seems to actually RP unless you specifically set it up. People used to live and breathe that game man, they were (mostly) always so kind and charming. Maybe I just have nostalgia memory, who knows.

classic is so much min/max, i went back to p-server and play super casual in there. i freaking love it!
maybe for raids, people with the gearscore addon could get a bit ridiculous asking for a pretty ludacris gearscore, like 5-6k for VoA or naxx towards the end of wotlk, but for dungeons. Wotlk dungeons were a joke by even wrath standards. and people just didn't really act like this. I haven't been playing, but i wouldn't be surprised if something like this was actually happening.
It's true man. My heart used to race IRL, vertigo IRL because of my character running close to edges. I can still immerse myself. Quick tip. Turn off TV, phone, close the door, turn off the lights, close Twitch, disable World chat and ignore toxic or speed leveling players. It's doable. Not many cba in 2022.
i notice in the larger servers people are mostly toxic / annoying like this. the smaller servers there is more of a community feel to it

The truth is the community has decided they do not like the leveling nearly as much as they like the end game. So they will min max the hell out of leveling to enjoy end game faster. My best suggestion is to start your own group if you want to run dungeons.
Did Utgarde Keep as Disc Priest yesterday with the first gear you got when reaching lvl 70 in TBC. Healing was no problem at all except for my mana pool being a little small at times. I think it's us, the players, that should start spreading positivity like it's 2008 again
It has nothing to do with positivity.. this is just a failure of reading comprehension. They asked for BIG DPS in the looking for dungeon message.. what did he think that means??... don't join a quick run group without being high geared, there are tons of random groups you can join. It's not that hard...

@@stesve2007 Do you understand the concept of XP runs and power levelling???... obviously big dps isn't needed for the dungeon, but these people are clearly trying to clear the dungeon as fast as possible to gain more xp/hour. They made that very clear through their recruitment message (because that is literally the only reason to have a gear requirement for an easy dungeon). When 4 people are super geared and the fifth has greens, do you know what that is called?.. being carried, he would not contribute to the dungeon clear so he got kicked. It's not a difficult to comprehend scenario.

XP runs in starter dungeons are done with 4-man. Due to xp splits and not wanting to complete the dungeons too fast. You know... Lockouts.

Ive played both for awhile and what you’re saying is 100% false. In league, you’re stuck with the other 9 players for half an hour and alot of toxicity can occur in that time. You can mute, but you’re still stuck playing with them, thats toxic. In wow, it’s on u who u choose to group with. Theres way more friendly interactions in wow than in league.
Yeah terrible comparison, as Bloodhound said...League is soo much worse and you are confined to deal with kids every game unless you just disable comms and hope your team doesn't int out of spite. Don't even get me started on the type of gameplay league promotes with it's half ass copy/paste character designs catering to a bunch of adolescent waifu addicted kids.

In TBC I found it funny when the boosted player weren't taken into dungeon, it made sense at least a little that the original players didn't wanted to play with some quits in 2 weeks bought 58 boost chara that did litterly less damgage when the tank (before tanks did lots of damage) but wotlk is actual insane, it only happened once to me but I'm still stunned by the fact that the gear requirments already start with leveling dungeons, I don't mind going fast and knowing my class to do so, but the insanity some people have is dumbfounding.
Edit: because people apparently miss understand my gear is still good enough that I haven't had any updates yet with lvl 75, so no greens only epics and I still got called not good enough even though I beat gladiators in DPS meter
2nd Edit: it only happened once to me by the way, I just found it crazy because in tbc that would only happen to freshly boosted character in green gear

The difference between good geared group and a noob geared is like night and day. Big pulls, constant moving, i can only dps as a healer (just keeping shields up) its just much more fun
This actually happened to me. Wanted to do Nexus for the quests. Joined group and kicked for not being full brutal.
I mean if you had the time to get the gear or the heads-up about the expansion dropping soon enough to get a boostie a fair amount of brut gear then ..... Why would you expect people to carry you? I personally got 4 toons in almost full brutal gear with tasteful badge and T6 gear choices and rdy for wrath. My main is decked out in swp gear too. If you had the time and didn't even try to get one toon some brutal gear then maybe don't complain and next time join the wave of people grinding for catch-up or strong gear that maybe doesn't require outright raiding.

@@Phevo75 because a lot of other people would've been doing the same and if you know literally anything about tbc launch and or have the smallest idea of what the community is like then yea you should've not been lazy and tried at least to get some brutal gear. I legit ran into a meat grinder of fights on repeat and did basic shit to make it look like I was trying all while I watched Netflix and read tech articles.
I got 4 alts geared in S4 Brutal gear doing that. It's not asking a lot to say hey.... Maybe go get S4 weps and try for a piece or two of brutal set pieces.

I experienced this myself.
Im the tank in a UK group. I invite a warlock, and a Holy pally. The pally says to the group "im not healing this" "the warlock only has 4.5k health"...and left the party.
I understand the lock was a fresh boostie but the rest of us had fine gear.
The lock even did pretty good dps considering...
I find it quite funny how little health boosties got. What was Blizz thinking? 😂

A billion times this. Takes me back to vanilla classic where some people proved you can kill Onyxia naked but at the same time there was no guild that let you in if you didn't have raid gear and went for all the world buffs.

This doesn't happen on retail. No one seems to complain about gear even in high keys. I've only seen people get called out for their poor performance. Gear doesn't matter.

right? :D guild rogues had problems getting an invite (not with us they powerleveled) and they are really good and good geared. just no aoe
Best part of it is that PvP stats like Resilience and Penetration, as long as some gems, are useless in dungeon, so he is technically the best geared in the group.
unironically the resil is only useful for tanks since it reduces chance to be crit, thus working similar to defense rating for that one thing (granted defense is a whole lot better due to dodge/parry/etc that it gives).

Yesterday we were just casually doing wailing caverns, one of the guys left after second boss because he was bored or idk. Then the tank, his friend also left and we had to do only last boss. So we were there me healer and my friend dps and some warlock who was also about to leave. Persuaded him to try tanking it with voidwalker. Ended up finishing the dungeon in 3 without tank.
That's some funny shit.
Some guy on my server said "not inviting ppl with greens or blues" the whole LFG chat flamed him and boycotted inviting him to any groups that evening.

In Wrath leveling is a huge part of the experience. If you rush it or try to get past it you're massively screwing yourself. Unlike vanilla there's no "ahead of the curve" since fully gearing a character at 80 takes like a week so you'll basically just have nothing to do.
You know that after you level up you can just do something else with your life, you dont have sit and wait in dalaran so I dont see how they really screwing themselves.
At launch is pretty normal there are tryharders getting ready asap for raids release, later on is much more chill.

I’m not sure what the deal is with this expansion but I’ve run into more assholes in 2 days in dungeons than a proctologist sees in a month.
bruh, you must not be on bene, because majority of the people out in the open world questing are assholes and grief constantly lol. 2 of my friends that are on a class with mana bars are having a issue where when they are aoeing, these people will pull huge packs of red mobs, run them into their aoe and get them killed for no apparent reason, and when they drink, they bring mobs that do aoe cleaves to waste their food lol.
if your at AoA, then you have tanks taunt spamming and ripping aggro and trying to drag the quest mobs out and despawning them, and they do it in a group of tanks and to every group.
i can probably think of more things i see these fuckers doing but yeah, its obnoxious at this point, im just lucky im lvling my dk first, so i can avoid a majority of their grief tactics.
I wasn't around in the Classic-TBC experience but from TBC-WOTLK there does seem to be an upswing of assholes that weren't there before. I think they are coming from the megaservers.

This is so true!😄 When I started on TBC many centuries ago, we did one dungeon all afternoon and there was so many wipes because we had no gear. But it was fun with friends. And now people from Shadowlands “speed runs”are in WOTLK and that game is not the same as before. So GL😊

Im brutal geared so i wouldnt have notice this issue if I didnt see one person in my guild chat asking why he hss been kicked multiple times by groups before starting the dungeon
Just yesterday did a couple nexus and utgarde runs as tank, I made the groups, first nexus was a geared and chill lock and some othet randoms, boomkin left us because lock died once because too much threat, "we'll never kill last boss" so after he left, we cleared dungeon. In utgarde we bea it with guys in questinggear carried from tbc, couple single deaths maybe, but thats it. People are crazy man
There's something so refreshing about hearing him continue to say "wot looka hype!" during the content instead of the expansion that came after 🤣
My only problem with this video is the last character at the end isn't briefly shown with his sword and shield put away. What a cool combo - they need to add more back-sheathing swords to the game. I think that essentially ended with the addition of monks.

No joke, when I was playing Classic during the first few days...I had some guy tell me that Deadmines was an IMPOSSIBLE DUNGEON without multiple CCs and using glitches to fight VanCleef. He refused to invite me because I was a paladin, even though I was level 19.
Needless to say, I got into another group with like 16s-18s (and no CC or glitches to speak of) and we cleared it with ease. Some people are so full of themselves it's insane.

I've run utgarde keep in shit greens about 25 times now across the chars I levelled through outlands quick with the exp boost so far and I've never seen this or heard of it happening, it must be a PVP server thing.
I think it’s just a thing to get clicks and to make funny content. His other videos make fun of boosters for not knowing how to play. Now it’s making fun of people who don’t want to carry boosters who don’t know how to play. I boosted and have not encountered this at all either. Launch was great and the random people I bump into are friendly and helpful. But it isn’t cool to say nice things about blizzard

This is one of the reasons why i quit WoW. If it happened couple time its not that big of a deal but when this happens 8/10 times its a game changer. It was said that this behavior is a product of M+ system where everything has became a speed run and unless you have BiS gear they wont take you and it moved to every aspect of the game.

I hate to say this, but i'm going to enjoy watching their community slowly diminish into nothing, and it will. Because you can't take something like an MMORPG that was MEANT to be lived in, journeyd through, enjoyed as a SLOW BURN and min/max/spreadsheet the shit out of it and expect people to continue to join you.
The truth of the matter is likely hundreds of thousands of players hit this parse/logs/BiS culture face first, and quit for life. The % of people who actually want to do this kind of mind numbing shit has to be insignificant compared to those who want atmosphere, adventure, friendship and fun after a hard days work... you know... at their ACTUAL F'ING JOB!? lol.

Insane how accurate this is. I ran the nexus with my Mut rogue and everything died so fast I barely got to spend my combo points then as soon as I exit I saw people requesting full brutal for their group.
Tis sad but this is the price of nostalgia.
This is one of the reasons which I prefer to set up a group myself and not wait for someone to made it. If u want things done u have to do them yourself.

I remember going from EverQuest Online Adventures to WoW way back, i made a video on this in like 2011 lol, i bitched how badly i was treated for not being well geared, and how nobody even attempted to explain, or help. The difference between the two communities was night and day.
In EQOA people would literally stand around waiting to help newbs with invis, speed buffs, getting them coaches for easy transportation (basically flight path) we had a GUIDE PROGRAM, etc, etc... to go from that to... this f'ing abomination of a community is infuriating to say the least lol. But the core gameplay of Classic is still good fun.
Have to try and find the right oldschool people i guess. . . and pray they don't devolve into generation Silicon Valley Spreadsheet.
i ran upgrade only once so far and the DK tank ran through it so fast i didn’t even know what was happening, i didn’t even have time to enjoy the dungeon lol

This IS the classic mentality, has nothing to do with retail systems, at all. Classic andy's are ruining the game and when their precious game goes into Cata I suspect a lot of them will turn to retail and end up as the kicked player. Classic skill doesn't translate to mythic+ skill in the slightest. If you are a healer on classic and you go to retail and you refuse to maximise your damage, you will be kicked. It's just that simple. Classic andy's are playing hello kitty island adventure basically. It's a babywheel game.

okay but to be fair when the exp just came out there were tons of people who had prepared for it, so it made sense that people who had prepared and farmed the stupid brutal gear for leveling fast would want people who did the same... i'm pretty sure the same thing doesn't happen anymore since people have already leveled their mains
That is why this "from beta" wow player wont play wotlk classic. Lvl zerging, gold farming and gear discrimination is the only game in town... It's not fun anymore to revisit, since it's just min/maxing for 1-6 months and then a "I am bored" attitude... My original wotlk experience was slow exploration and community... Most of these "tiktok attention spand is 5 minutes "classic players are burned out in months...
And this is why I don't play classic, or wow at all for that matter. Or even multiplayer games. Other people are the reason why I stick to making human leather hats in rimworld.

I doubt that boomers would play any games in the first place, but max 2-3% of the players can be that old. Why not playing with the older version of a game if it was much better while the new version sucks?
I ran a few instances (still 72!), and whenever I'm looking for a group, in a channel or group finder, I always specify "chill group, no minmaxing BS pls! :D"
Usually i go for quest, or help guildies, so far, all good. Hope I'll avoid those at all costs.
That's why I rolled fresh, everyone is still in leveling gear.

Lol, stuff like this happened to me too, while looking for halls of reflection group, i had decent gear and gear score, and got kicked because i didnt have a "high enough" gear score, the requierment they told me was in the ballpark for icc at the time
So accurate xD. It happened with my Druid resto, cause I had a Boosted character, they kicked me. I went with another group, less geared than that one, and everything when smooth.
One of the guys asked me at the end “how is it that u never run out of mana?” xD

I legit got an unskippable WOTLK classic carry service add before this vid.
I remember being on my warlock, being really undergeared for HC, lowly grinding up to it... But there they were, a 4 man group looking for a dps and they said to me, hey wanna join?
Don't worry about your gear or damage, and all the usefull gear that drop is for you..we don't need any of it. We are just here to have fun.
And this happened multiple times.

You can always tell the old-timers because they stand behind the columns when this boss resurrects.

The mechanic would almost one shot you with low gear/non pvp gear (that has extra stamina/versatility).
