  • According to ABARES Australian agriculture is facing its most prosperous outlook for 30 years. It's an encouraging message but what's also very reassuring is, knowing that there's ongoing grains R&D to underpin that promising outlook. Especially in the Mungbean industry.

      Depends on what you mean by that. Do you mean that these plants were engineered? Do you mean selected: to grow in certain conditions, grow a certain height, yield a certain amount of crop, etc.. Most farm plants, for thousands years, were "genetically modified" to behave or grow in favor of the farmer's desired result.
      Are you talking about literal genetic manipulation in a lab?
