The BJP is set to return to power in Haryana for the third consecutive term, having won 48 seats in the 90-member Assembly. The Congress was able to win only 37 seats, resulting in a setback to the party, which has been riddled with ‘internal factionalism’ in the State.
Its electoral expectations and calculations gone wrong in Haryana, the Congress Tuesday took the unprecedented step of declaring that it will not accept the verdict, alleging there was a “conspiracy” hatched through “manipulation” of Electronic Voting Machines.
The Congress allegation - it is the first time that a mainstream party has refused to accept the mandate alleging manipulation of EVMs - came even as its stalwarts in Haryana, Kumari Selja and Bhupinder Singh Hooda, conceded defeat with Selja targeting the Hooda camp for the loss. Hooda, on his part said, he would accept the results “under protest” although he was “surprised” by the outcome.
The Data Analysis
In this episode I analyze the result data of the Haryana 2024 assembly elections, as provided by the Election Commission of India. Three points should be noted -
These is no indication that EVM manipulation happened in low margin wins in Haryana
Congress won with handsomely in high margin seats.
The congress defeat in mid-margin seats is rather intriguing and should be investigated. The seats in win margin between 10,000 and 30,000 are peculiar.
The votes polled vs voting percentage vs voted polled by the BJP. The numbers do not tally. The ECI should come out clean on these numbers.
The win geography segments in Haryana remains a mystery. In normal elections such segmentations are not observed.

बैलेट पेपर के कितने वोट कैंसिल कराये गये? यदि अधिक कैंसिल हुए हैं तो संदेहास्पद है कयोंकि पढे लिखे सरकारी कर्मचारी वोटिंग करते हैं। 80/90 साल के अंधे शिथिलांग नहीं करते हैं वोटिंग।

In ballot paper counting, Congress is winning 72 Seats and BJP is winning 16 seats and in EVM counting BJP won 48 and Congress 37. How this is possible. In Ballot paper, trends in favour of Congress and in EVM trends in favour of BJP.
