It is so hard living in a society that values one color over another. I think one of the best things you can do is teach your children to love their unique shades no matter how dark or light. Your kindness will help them overcome other difficulties ❤️

I use to worry alot but now I doesn't bother me.
I love my dark skin and embrace it. However the problem is that the society made us believe that dark skin is not beautiful. Growing up I have seen light skin girls get the best of everything, It was hard as a little girl luckily I gained my confidence when I came out of age.
Same for white skin i Europe my dear, if you dare not have tan in summer every body tells you that you are unhealthy, that pale skin in summer is almost shoking. We are 3 years old as humanity because skin color should be the least of our issues !
I'm pale af and wouldn't want it any other way, no way would I damage my skin trying to tan.. But I've always wanted dark hair but I'm too scared to dye it lol
It the curly vs straight mindset. People with curly hair want straight hair and people with straight hair want curly. Dark wants to be light, light wants to be dark. Thin wants curves, fat wants to be thin. Everyone wants what they can’t have because if they set a goal they can achieve and they fail it’s on them; but if the goal is impossible to achieve you can blame society and other people.

If America’s white people from back then wanted to continue racism they would have but it was because most of society disagrees strongly with racist ideals hence why we are where we are today which is much better than back then. There are obviously still racist tendencies on going , in some communities more than others but I have been raised with very limited racism around me. The most racism I see these days is from black people being racist towards white people, demanding reparations for something my ancestors never even had a part of, perpetuating and living vicariously through their ancestors victimhood as an excuse for eligibility of some compensation in today’s time- absurd. With that same logic- then what about all women? See how this isn’t smart nor optimal? The only reason we are where we are today is because black and whites have been working together through the times. Every time an oppressed demographic gets a voice- a radical off shoot is created, the women’s movement turned to the toxic”feminist” beliefs of today, black- BLM, LGBTQ+a+ meshing LGBTQ with fetish and the trans movement when those are all very separate divisions.. This is all result of colonization that some dark skinned people are filled with self hate towards their own skin, color and ethnicity. People even after being liberated are still suffering from massive after effects. Feeling of racial inferiority and shame in one's culture are some of the social affects of colonization in several countries.
Do you really think it's a result of colonialism ? Why don't you read a history of your region (though country was formed in 1947) after world war two means recently not that recently but still it's 1947). Do have any idea why catesm still exist in your region ? Why many years British ruled your region and how many times Northern peoples invaded your region and ruled ? If you calculate everything then you'll stop blaming to British and start blaming your higher caste and all mythological books which says that female skin should be looked like a moon smooth , white . And it's a color of Royalty (richness ) that's why in Hinduism their is description of turmeric , milk , yogurt and many other things and how to apply it by females to look Royal . So who you're blaming now ? Casteism was formed on the base color 🤣🤣 British and Germans studies all most all the vedic books , they got inspired , not only they inspired from vedic , they got inspired from today's iran history , greek , Romans and all those Caucasoid empires who promoted fair is beautiful and sign of Royalty , purity , richness . British and Germans just promoted it , earned through it and they become happy cuz they're actually fairer than other Caucasians . Poor soul (don't assume I'm from South Asia or have dark skin ) I'm perfectly fine and beautiful ❤️, and I know in south Asia peoples have light skin , hair and eyes color . I have seen children born with born with light skin , color and blond hair no they're not mixed with proto middle eastern peoples . You'll see those features among isolated peoples from northern South Asian regions mostly who leaves in around Himalayan regions East to west and far West Afghanistan (except Bangladeshi or Sri Lanka and East Asian origin or asiatic astroid or Burmese ethics ) you'll see those online cuz they isolated themselves don't like much interfere from outside and I'm not against of semitic as we all are Caucasoid .

I was fairly well blown away when I first came across Asian beauty products, because they were actually in shades I could wear and had products that would actually help me keep my pale skin and, more importantly, keep it healthy. So strange when my own country offered nothing but a constant insult.
All skin colors are beautiful because no two are quite the same. I don't see why the beauty industry in any country or culture has to trend one color over the other when it is impossible for a person's skin to be "out of fashion". No one should want to change their natural selves to fit a beauty standard. Beauty care should be about each individual being their healthiest. Being healthy and happy is the most beautiful thing in the world.

Light skin wants to be darker, dark skin wants to be lighter. It's so sad. I wish people would love all skin tones including thier own.
I'm pale af and wouldn't want it any other way, no way would I damage my skin trying to tan.. But I've always wanted dark hair but I'm too scared to dye it lol
i dont wanna look darker. quite the opposite actually
I'm light but wanna look lighter lol
People don't get bullied in school for having skin that is too pale. They only get bullied for having dark skin ( in several asian countries)
My ex husband hated how I darkened in summer, now I get as dark as I can. I LOVE my beautiful brown skin!

When ppl sunbathe to get darker skin noone cares, but someone wants to make their skin lighter then everyone gets so emotional. If this is what the person truly wants it's okay!
My thoughts exactly
No, people do actually care. It’s just not as advertised. It’s sad either way though, no one should fall victim to the mindset of making yourself lighter or darker.

It’s great that America is on the honoring dark skin side more than other parts of the world.
We still got room to grow but it could be worse.
That's only because African Americans fought during the Civil Rights Movement for things to change. Before that dark skin and full lips were mocked and ridiculed publicly, which led to a lot of insecurity and self-hatred in the black community which is what birthed the Black Power Movement within the Civil Rights Movement. The only times things change is when people fight for them to change.

@@greatesteva8665 BLMers get upset if “all lives matter” is said because it’s takes attention away from “black lives”, so with the same logic-
To say it’s the blacks, excluding whites, that fought for their rights alone is perpetuating racist ideals, for it was everyone- white and black fighting for equal rights.

On point💯👍
