Interesting, thanks. When adding A-line shaping to a drop shoulder sweater, how much hip ease do you recommend to keep that loose look? For example, if I want to have 10" of ease at the chest, that seems like a lot of ease at the hip/mid hip. My hips are about 4-5" larger than my chest, if that's relevant. Also, I'm 5'2" and don't want to be swimming in my sweater. Thanks
Great question, the details definitely help. With 10" of ease at the chest you would have 5-6" of ease at your hip. Since 10" of ease at the hip feels like too much for you, maybe try 8". That would mean the bottom hem would be 2" larger than the chest with very gentle a-line shape. I hope that helps!
