Absolutely love this series! I just happened on the channel. Man I’m glad I did. Heck, I binge watch this thing like it’s the latest Netflix hit series! I love Louisiana, good food, good music, fishing, and camps - which is exactly what this series. Now I’m just hoping for a giveaway for a weekend trip to someone’s duck camp! Well done, everyone!
So whats the deal with all of these old episodes from meat eater being posted on here? Does this channel now own all the duck camp dinners episodes and is now going to continue the show on here?
We at Split Reed actually made these episodes, and Chef Jean-Paul had a deal with Meat Eater for them to publish them. We have a new season coming up that will be published on the Split Reed page rather than on Meat Eater, so we wanted to get all the episodes together in one place, rather than having 2 seasons here, one season there etc. What is already on Meat Eater will stay there though, that will not change.

As a charter fisherman and semi perfectionist I couldn't make it through the first few minutes of this. Rushed and bad gaff shot on that hoo. So now you don't control the head... hey, it happens. What you then DONT do is point the fishes face and teeth near everyone's legs and run at it with a mini bat as if this was an Alaskan Salman run. Take your time, get it in the head. Control your fish. Straight into the ice box or at least pin his face to the corner of the boat with the gaff until the deck is secure. Photos when its dead. These protocols have existed all over the world for a reason but NEVER get tought on these media outlets. I'm expecting way too much from this show I know, just irks the hell out of me. Rant over
