Oh and another thing. The reason i respect you guys so much is because you build a product, you sell that product, and you make videos on how to install and how that product works. You just dont sell the goods and let the customer figure it out on there own.
AFC Live is easily one of the best upgrades I've made to my truck! Now that I've had it on my truck for a while I'm glad I got the option with the gauge. Really handy for quickly dialing in the fueling for towing, best mpg etc. My only regret is not getting it sooner haha. Great product and even better customer service.
For starters great video guys. I think the main reason behind some people saying bad reviews of the afc live is because they have not installed it properly or they dont know how it actually works. I bought a set of .055 dvs from you all about 3 years ago before you became famous for the afc live. When you released this i had to have iit. After going completly through my engine and ferral diesel service rebuilding max and balance my pump i installed the afc live stage 2. I didnt see any change so i pulled the afc off and bench tested it just to see how it exactly works useing shop air. Worked. Worked perfect as it shouldve. Then i check the gov arm and it was actually missing the afc foot. I had to completly remove the gov arm adjusting bolt in order to barely make contact with the afc foot after adjusting it down all the way. Now the afc live works perfect as it should. Full control. Great product. Thanks.
Bought my 96 5spd stock about 6 months ago and it was nice but needed more power. Have been seeing AFC live for a few years now so I figured I'd give it a shot. Installed it a few weeks ago and haven't looked back. Took a little too figure out the tuning but once I got it down the truck runs amazing with almost no smoke. Well worth the money
ahh,,, sorry for calling and bugging you guys. Just stumbled upon this video that would have answered all my questions without pestering you. Thanks for taking the time to talk to me!
Just installed this a few days ago. What a difference it made! however, i noticed that i only am able to build 25 lbs boost after installing afc live, where as before i could build 35-40 lbs of boost. not sure why that is, but even with the 10 lb boost difference the truck throws me back in my seat
I just installed and my truck and it used to hays 37”tires at 50-60mph. It runs about the same now with it on full power mode, but mine also makes half the boost when I pull fuel out and it turns to a dog. Why does the amount of fuel effect boost so much? At this point I liked my mechanical tune more and would rather stayed driving with my foot.
Why does the afc live leak when it's really cold driving down the road fuel knob leaks air till I'm guessing the air warms up? Just started happening when it got colf
What’s the difference between this and grabbing an SMC speed control valve (fuel delivery speed), 3 way pneumatic switch (valet/off/tune)and a pressure regulator (max fueling)?
What I've found is that I run the afc live with the full power switch always on.... As he said you can't limit fueling beyond your hardware... In some if their videos they show being able to control egts with the afc live... But my truck is a single cab short bed and it has way more than enough power to push itself down the road with hardly any fuel so I'm rarely ever above 800f. I have bigger injectors so I can't really do much with my minimum power setting... It is what it is kind of thing.
I have a complex question. I would like to do many mods on a 5.9L 12 valve Cummins. Can the first three be done together or you can do some but not the other? Thanks in advance. 1. AFC compete mod - AFC spring kit - AFC diaphragm kit - AFC fuel plate removal - AFC foot w/ 1/8" remove 2. P-pump governor spring kit mod to 4000 rpm 3. P-pump mod to support super high performance injectors. The reason why I am asking this is because I am wanting to do a engine swap in my 1996, 40 ft Fleetwood Bounder class A motorhome. I want to go from currently 7.5L gas to Cummins 5.9L 12 valve w/ dual turbos, EGR delete, muffler delete, and dual 5 inch exhaust. And if it's made, I would like to install a 8 inch intake. I want to make sure she's going to breathe. I'm not wanting to do this to roll coal (though that would be fun from time to time, lol). I just want maximum power and torque.
Glad you guys made this. I have afc live in my 96. The red knob does not work I tried to adjust the arm in the pump with no luck. The black knob works. But I can not control my egts. I have 024dv 5x12 injectors some pump timing and 3kgov springs. I have the max travel kit 40-60 lb spring with a single turbo running 50lbs of boost.
With my afc off i had to do some measuring to the gov arm compared to the afc foot and my gov arm was going under my afc and binding under it when engine rpm would raise. I had to completly take the gov arm adjusting bolt out of mine for it to make contact with the afc foot. My pumps been built with gov work dobe may be the only reason for that tho. After i fixed the contact problem worked great. Just a thought.
Just make sure ya dont drop it down into the pump. When i took mine out i had a magnet with wire on it so it wouldnt fall. The gov arm is spring loaded on a pivot. That bolt when loosend raises arm up when tightened lowers it. After taking bolt out i put white paint marker on my afc foot sat it on pump and worked throttle and could feel gov arm coming in contact with afc foot. And checked and gov arm had paint on it. Works perfect now.
And when checking all this make sure kill lever is up so throttle can work the gov arm. You will have to take off rear cover to get to adjuster bolt. Bottom stud with lock nut is the gov adjuster.
From what ive seen about the adjust it has preset afc foot limits and the afc live has an infinite amount of adjustablity for power level wich means how far the afc foot can travel and fuel rate which means how fast the afc foot will get to the certain adjustment. The gov arm rides against the afc foot so the farther forward the afc foot goes the more fuel you get due to the gov arm following.
I have a 94 12valve p-pump 5speed 4x4, single cab. Stock turbo hx35 I've seen 40lbs out of it, 4in downpipe, egt and boost gauges, marine 370 injectors, 19° timing, studded, 4k gov springs, 60lb valve springs. Which afc live should I get and spring kit. Thanks!
Joe Colsch you cannot run a diesel to lean. A diesel is just the opposite of a gas motor more fuel and it gets hott less fuel it cools down to little fuel and it will just not run.
5speed 215 pump, 362sxe, 5x12, and 100hp injectors. On full power I make 45psi, when I choke it down my boost goes down too, down to like 20psi. Trying to get EGT’s under control I hit a hard freeway grade and held full throttle, I reduced fuel until my EGT’s got down to 1100. It this setting the truck makes no power and only makes 20psi of boost. Why is fuel effecting boost so much?
It`s real sad how these questions are REALLY just common sense? What does the red knob do? What does the Black knob do? LOOK AT THE PICTURE! It TELLS you, watch the videos, I mean half these questions are stupid, their all common sense questions you should already know if you read the webpage!

5:40 pressure regulator
6:13 needle/flow control valve
AFC Live is a great product. I'm running it on a 24v ppump. It took awhile to tune and it works like advertised. Keep up the good work.
What's your mpgs like? What HP you running at?

I'm all in with you guys. You run a good company! Thanks for your time!

Great work guys. I️ can’t wait for ucc. Only going because of you guys!
I bought the AFC live when it was first released. I love it but looking at the new version I wish I had waited.

I need help guys 😩😭 tomorrow I'll call but something is definitely wrong withy truck after installation of the AFC live

I’ll be ordering this soon
Sounds good thanks for the support!

Where is this company located looks like great product 👌
I get all my parts from you guys 👍🏻
Vp 44 at 500hp or p7100 at 400 hp? I want to get decent mileage. Is there a comparison?
Is this P-Pump Tuner only for Cummins or could this be used for other Mechanical Diesel engines like a 80's/90's Mercedes
My gauge doesn’t work on afc in the switch in either mode.
what does the little inline fitting with the screen on it do? came with my afc live kit and not sure where it goes or what its for.
I am already running an attitude adjuster can I run this with it
I have a complex question.
I would like to do many mods on a 5.9L 12 valve Cummins. Can the first three be done together or you can do some but not the other?

1. AFC compete mod

They had a year to respond, no fucks given
Excellent video guys

Preston Netherly I can take the bolt out of the arm and leave it out. Maybe mine is still going under I bet
Just make sure ya dont drop it down into the pump. When i took mine out i had a magnet with wire on it so it wouldnt fall. The gov arm is spring loaded on a pivot. Look up gov arm adjust and you will see pics of what im talking about.
Im still not getting mine to work right ? I get no power change with the switch and I checked all my afc adjustments too ??
So do you have to remove the fuel plate if your not messing with the afc foot or adding the new spring ?
Afc max travel kit
Do you need to upgrade spring on your AFC governor spring?
Great video guys
I got an AFC live and the toggle switch is in the correct direction. And my gauge reads 0 all the time. Any help?
Same issue, I only put his message so I can come back and check for a solution
Mine does the same, did you ever figure out why yours is doing that??
Where can you get a replacement AFC foot?
What is the difference with yours and the other on market
From what ive seen about the adjust it has preset afc foot limits and the afc live has an infinite amount of adjustablity for power level wich means how far the afc foot can travel and fuel rate which means how fast the afc foot will get to the certain adjustment. PowerDrivenDiesel what is the difference between the race box and the normal afc controller? Also thank you for the quick response!
Can you lean out ur truck and cause damage to the engine with the afc live
Joe Colsch you cannot run a diesel to lean. A diesel is just the opposite of a gas motor more fuel and it gets hott less fuel it cools down to little fuel and it will just not run.
PowerDrivenDiesel i have an 62 mm with ported head an bigger injectors and delivery valves would that matter
PowerDrivenDiesel ok thank you for the advice
