Having the extra information on the screen it helps a lot before I used to have to write the info.and stop the video but now it's right there so thank you mr. Tom and God bless everyone at legacy collectibles.
Dammit with the prices climbing faster than poison ivy Ill never get a shooter grade luger!! Waaaaaa oh well for now I will be content to look and live vicariously thru legacy collectables such a great show
"Axis Pistols", I just ordered it new from Ebay for $20 just now. I did see an 80's published one below it for $329, another below it for $525. Unless a book is hundreds of years old, I don't see a reason it should cost more than an actual P38. Maybe I'm lucky, who knows?
Actual serious books about specific firearms tend to be pretty expensive since the research involved for the author can take years, and they tend not to print too many copies since it's such a niche market usually. Only really serious collectors or auction houses tend to purchase books like these; that way they really, really know what is worth a lot of money, and what isn't!
I have been wondering lately, will those Mauser Broomhandle pistols be effected by the ATF upcoming pistol brace regulation ruling ? Do they have some type of “grandfather” protection making them immune from ATF nonsense ? Maybe this is a dumb question but I was just curious
I was wondering if ya might be able tell me something about my EJERCITO Argentino Colt Cal 45 model 1927 ? All the ones i see w serial # 24200 an above say Sistema Colt on them but mine just says" Colt Cal 45 model 1927 on one side an (D.GF.M.-F.M.A.P.) on other side ! Every thing ive read or watched says after serial # 10,000 was made with Sistema Colt ! Would love to find out what i realy have if u have any info on it would be appreciated !
Sounds like you have an Argentine Colt model 1927. These were issued to the Argentinian military around 1945. In the future, feel free to email us some photos and we'd be happy to help (if we can).
Price are going when Pople are buying. .then Pople are out of work and have to pick to buy food or gas . Price will go down . Then Pople will start buying the price will go up
If I worked at your shop, I’d never have a need to buy a gun again. Just being around your wonderful collection would satisfy. Beautiful.

Tom your keeping these treasures alive.

I have number 560 axis pistols book with Jan Stills signature and “Good Collecting” quote.
It must be so awesome to hold some of these weapons and just let your imagination run wild.
Did some Luger P08 come with red painted sigths also? Have found one that have the same red paint on the back sigths.
Far less Lugers, but yes, I believe some were painted
@@thomaswhiteman4261 nice to hear. Belived it wasnt original. Is on a mauser produced 1936 luger p08
How do you buy these?
Hey Tom how often do you guys get French Unique 16 Nazi occupation pistols. I know that they are a bit rare
Less than one per month
Tried to find that Steyr in 9x19, been looking for one, was hoping you had a VOPO Luger in that haul

@@isaiahmadrid6738 The book I bought is most likely just a copy.
The book you purchased on EBay is not the entire book. It’s only like 20 pages long. I messaged the seller and asked what exactly it was.
@@scottshea6927 Ah, ok. Gotcha.
Great video thanks!!!!
Did this collection originate in Alabama?
Not this time. We did get a big collection out of Alabama last year

my understanding is that these are exempt.
A number of stocked pistols are exempted by name from the NFA including the C96.
