@@ez_scents while recreating the M02 isn’t too easy (simply because of the dilution percentage, which isn’t disclosed) M01 is impossible to recreate unless you have some connection at IFF, the ingredient used for M01 isn’t the standard isomer of ISO E Super, but the gamma one, which is still a captive ingredient, therefore unobtainable through other channels.
The one you reviewed is the one called Escentric 01, the counterpart to Molecule 01. While Molecule 01 is just Iso E Super, Escentric 01 includes lime, pink pepper, orris, hedione as well as muscone. You should update the title of the video to avoid further confusion. Given that you were under the impression you were reviewing M01, you were spot on with the notes 👏👏
Leaving it as is is misleading. Many of your viewers dont know there are 2 versions and they use your review as guidance. People buy or dont buy based of your reviews. You should somehow let them know it was the wrong fragrance or they will be mislead
This, to me, is the absolute proof that you do not (like many people say) just read ingredients from the box and say them. You didn't even have the correct one and yet you managed to perfectly dissect the fragrance, even though the notes, in my opinion, are not the easiest to detect as they're very light. Absolutely impressive!

Honestly I think the company should somehow differentiate more between Molecule01 and Escentric01. You're not the first and certainly not the last person to mix them up. Great review tho!
I got both and I literally got to say that I enjoy Molecule 01 (on my skin!) actually more than Escentric 01 (which is in fact the composition intended to enhance the molecule's qualities). On my skin Iso-E-Super comes out very fresh, woody powdery and I love smelling it on myself. Escentric really has a bit too much of an incensy quality to me, reminds me a bit too much of the church I went to in my youth. But it really has a nice airy quality to it which I enjoy - more of a summer fragrance for me. I actually love that you smelled some of the listed components like Pink Pepper and Hedione :) You show-off ;P

I have the Molecule 01+ discovery set. Beautiful fragrances. Molecule 01+Patchouli is my very favourite and my wife loves the Molecule 01+Mandarin (which is my second favourite but I like cause of its projection). The Iris one is my least favourite, I think it smells like pencil shavings. Will definitely get two 100ml bottles now. Oh, and the presentation of the perfumes in the box is 11/10, really nice presentation.
Iso E super is the most amazing thing but you don't get the effect of smelling it on your arm. Only others can get the full experience in the silage. It's beautiful, intoxicating woody, velvety slightly floral amazingness.

Funny, a similar story here. I discovered Escentric Molecules almost 10 years ago, after receiving a tester of Escentric 01. I really loved it, but accidentally bought Molecule 01. 🤔 Which since then has become my signature scent & perfectly serviceable for layering. 🙂
If it makes you feel any better I bought escentric 02 and then a few weeks later escentric 01… assuming both were molecule 02 and molecule 01 respectively. Glad I’m not the only one!
I have molecule 01 and molecule 2. I layer it with every fragrance I have, and every fragrance get beast mode after layering. And I always get compliments when layering. It's great for it. I layer molecule 01 with oud/woody scents and molecule 02 with gourmand/sweet fragrances. This combination for me works the best.
Aaron: I am very interested in hearing your thoughts on Afrika-Olifant by Nishane, which many people say is a “barn house” our fragrance, raw and extremely animatic. Loads of castoreum and civet, in addition to oud. It’s a somewhat controversial and divisive fragrance in the community, amongst those who have smelled it. With your particular style of perfumery and specialization in oud fragrances, I think you would be a great person to review it. I have ordered a tester myself, which I expect to arrive in a couple of days.
Molecule 01 on my skin is a very clean cedar scent that is as linear as a fragrance can be. But….it’s something I wear quite a bit of around the house or doing day to day things. It clings to my skin and clothes all day long. Escentric 01 I have not tried, unfortunately. Great content as always, Aaron! Cheers!

I'm really enjoying the complimentary 30ml Fake Oud (sad its being discountinued) and my gf LOVES the 10ml Santal Extreme - thanks! I'm excited for your Molecule 01 review. The projection on it seems massive for some people, and minimal for others. I ordered food at my local Cajun spot and the cashier could smell me behind plexiglass. It's one of the few times I've gotten a scent compliment in the wild Cheers

I think molecule 01 by it self you can appreciate it more. Once you use it for layering, it does what ever, but it disappears. Molecule 01 is a killer by it self, is just that is skin chemistry

I was gonna buy my mom the Molecule 02 she requested, but got the escentric 02, TWICE, thinking that the first one was just old. After the second I realized that it's a completely different formula. Molecule 01 isn't Iso E Super. It's Iso Gamma Super a different structure of the same Molecule which has more similarities to Sylvamber & Timbersilk due to the higher concentration of the Gamma Isomer. Aaron gives a Hint to this fact here 5:20
I get what you mean about a person that can influence how you feel about a scent.. we all have a baby name we can't use because of a person we know and just puts us off 🤣🤣
Funny thing is I hardly ever use Iso E Super to me it smells like polished up refined Vetiver bit like how clearwood represents Patchouli. In some projects I will but I find Benzyl Cinnamate is a really good fixative.

Great Video! But why they have to label just linalool, lindenol etc. on the package and not the other compounds of the fragrance? I mean there is iso e super in it and hedion etc. I noticed that on every other fragrance actually there labeling just a few raw materials.
@@riddhboss5438 because I go to a studio now. The picture and sound quality is better as professionals do it. I now have a scripted intro and outro I’ve developed. Having more structure means I feel more Secure in my reviews.

Most often I've heard of molecule01 as something especially useful for layering. And supposedly, it would be easier to smell in the air than on yourself. Which would have required extra testing on some willing -victim-, eh, volunteer.
No. I dont do clickbate. I went into Selfridges and asked for Molecule 1. The girl gave me this. So I honestly thought it was Molecule 1 until people pointed out it wasn't. So we changed the title.
It's sound really minimal, like maybe something you'd get for a teenager who's not used to wearing fragrances. Beyond that I'm not sure who would wear it. I wonder what sort of customer they're targeting.

Most often I've heard of molecule01 as something especially useful for layering. And supposedly, it would be easier to smell in the air than on yourself. Which would have required extra testing on some willing -victim-, eh, volunteer.
No. I dont do clickbate. I went into Selfridges and asked for Molecule 1. The girl gave me this. So I honestly thought it was Molecule 1 until people pointed out it wasn't. So we changed the title.
