Or at least the presets are dialed in just right and alleviate the boxy/hollow/nasal/dry and tough to saturate kind of tone that I struggled with dialing out of the real thing.
I have been a Mark V user since it came out and I have tried tons of plugins. This one really captures the real amp sound. It is rare for a plugin not to sound like a plugin. I feel great someone finally did it. Definitely needs more attention! Great job!!!
Absolutely stellar video demo and representation of the Mark V. As an owner of a Mark V, myself - and other Mark versions in the past - I can say this is the most authentic version I’ve heard to date. This is literally my first introduction into this company and Mikko, and I love that this was created by someone who personally loves this amp. Definitely going to get more plugins from ML Sound Labs
Congratulations Mikko - this is a total homerun! I've used most of the amp sim plugins out there - and certainly all of the revered high gain ones - and in my opinion, ML5 blows the others away. It's not even close. Thank you for making this!

6:56 - "So, that's more about the super smooth leads", 7:03 - plays "Smooth" - nice :D Great sounding demo, i have a Mark V, my all time favorite amp, nothing beats that Swiss army knife of perfect tones (for recordings i use Mark V raw tone with Mikko IR :D), and just by hearing this demo on UA-cam, that already sounds like a great studio recorded Mark V, you captured the essence of the amp! Amazing job, and keep doing the great work!

Do you know what Mikko... I've been playing with this Amp sim of yours now for the last... oh I don't know... 14 hours or something, and I've gotta say.... The amount of tones available in this thing is insane. I've barely even scratched the surface of what I feel that this thing is capable of but its magic mate! Absolutely F**king Magic! I love the touch sensitivity of your amp sims, and I love the way they chime. Dissonance has never sounded greater from an amp sim. Very "3d" so to speak. In fact, since I plugged into your amp sims I've always felt like I am playing through a real amp. That is the magic. I have said it before and I will say it again: I have no idea how you are doing it, but you have something going on here that perhaps companies much bigger than yourself should have been cottoning onto years ago. But they didn't. So keep it coming Mikko! The world needs these amp sims! haha.
Sold at 1:00 to 1:26 which for the tone on these amp sims is next to impossible to get with the other vendors. I have tried. Of course I should just buy the real thing, JP is one my favorite guitarists and I am huge fan of his playing and music, but for now, my DAW and i will be happy with this addition! This is killer! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE start making bass stuff! 😭 These are soo cool and would be killer to have something analogous for bass tones. SVT, B15, AD200, 400+, anything! lol. I'd also be happy with some bass cabs for mikko player 😁. Please and thank you lol

Fricking finally dude! My favorite amp made a plugin by my favorite plugin and IR related company (along side neuralDSP ofcourse), I had to instaclick when I received fluff's notification. If you could make one based on the mesa boogie rev f (with the black threadplate) my only complain would be the money you're rightfully getting from me!. (Seriously, it's the dream amp I have never had the chance to play but to admire in meshuggah's destroy erase improve guitar and lead tone).
Any chance of getting a chorus in there? Looking for that Hetfield clean and Petrucci lead. Maybe even making a modulation pedal, which could be changing between chorus, flanger and phaser, like the TC Dreamscape.
Hetfield clean tome was done with a roland jazz chorus with a compressor in the way in. What you will get is something close to late 80s Metallica rhythm and the signature petrucci rhythm and lead. Also if you like meshuggah you will get their none album tone.

I had an issue with downloading the plugins into my vst folder as they would overwrite each other. The ML Soundlab customer service is great and got back to me within a few days. They said they will be releasing updates for each of the plugins in the coming months, so hopefully they'll throw in another pedal on the pedalboard as well! 🤞
I couldn't get the standalone to work as well then I realized it was the L and R input I needed to switch from L to R (it's very tiny at the bottom of the window)
what`s next in your list? VHT Pitbul, Framus Cobra would be dope, maybe some Engls also, I know there are some in the market but still not as much as 5150 lol

I am really impressed with this sim! And I owned a real Mark V for 4 years and have lived on the Mark IV lead channel in my Axe Fx III and II for the past 6 years. In fact, it seems like you have either magically gotten rid of the boxy/hollow/nasal/dry kind of tone that I struggled with dialing out of my V or you just got this dialed in perfectly in the demo. Either way, nice work as always (I have loved all of you IR work too). Question. I have noticed your work with Neural in the past. Any chance you are planning to somehow port this and your other sims over to the Quad Cortex or at least do some kind of capture/profile pack of the Mark V for it? If not, I might do the unthinkable, get this sim to do captures of in the QC (yeah profiling a sim/model). I miss the Crunch voicing from this amp so bad and I also prefered the IIC+ voicing in this over the real thing, or at least the model in the Axe Fx, and i need this back in my life without having to buy the real thing again.

I have been waiting for a MK5 vst. I tried the EVH one, i have problems using other IR... I know the EQ is made to not get lost dialing it, but i feel sometimes it doesnt do much to change the tone =S sometimes it feels as all noon ( im not using laptop speaker or cheap headphones ). Gotta try the this one and hear
Hello! For some reason, on presets, this plugin sounds terrible to me, and I still can’t understand why :( The sound is very different from the sound in presentations... The guitar and audio interface are good. What can be wrong?
I'd say this is most likely to be your input gain. Having your input gain set "Incorrectly" (used pretty loosely there, as the input gain can be tweaked to taste) can cause the tones you achieve and the presets you're using to sound different than how they're intended. Try it out with the input light just barely beginning to blink when you dig in hard. Let me know if that takes care of it! -Kai
i'm having trouble getting my input the work properly. because it only gives me the options for input Channels 1 + 2 but on my interface I only have 1 Line/Instr. jack and than a XLR jack....the standalone is sexy tho!

Debating on this vs Mercurual Euphoria which is just 59 today as opposed to this pricey thing! Crunchy, punchy & pricey ! 20% just won't make it atm.Worth waiting for a better sale though to get all of their simple but cool amps.Also the 9 amp thing is a bit of a rip! All amps sound pretty much the same on this except for a little bit of alterations.Great amp but too pricey for the Pandemic.

Especially this amp would have deserved a much better, more authentically sounding and reacting simulation. In a blind test I would not recognize a single voicing as a typical Mark V tone. Not even as any tube amp tone in general. Expendable!
The most hilariously inaccurate comment you could possibly make regarding this plug-in. It’s a stellar representation of a Mesa Boogie Mark V. No doubt.
Really nice one! Sounds pretty good to me but i am still gonna pass on this one and stick to my Axe-Fx3 since the price is getting pretty high. The rest of the Amped Line was well priced but this goes a little bit over the top for me. This is almost the price of a neural dsp plugin which are top of the line right now. Maybe i’ll buy it on sale someday. Cheers!

ml soundlab is far superior to neural imo, neural is nice but in the sense of a quick mix ready tone ml has it.

What Sample Rate is best for the ML5?
48kHz is the most true-to-expectation sample rate for ML5 at this time!

I've no problem in 48 Khz but the sound gets less pronounced while in 96 Khz (despite feedback who need to be controlled) the sound is fuller

This sounds better, spark and reaxis were good but they dropped the ball to me on euphoria.

The rest of the Amped Line was well priced but this goes a little bit over the top for me.
This is almost the price of a neural dsp plugin which are top of the line right now.
Maybe i’ll buy it on sale someday.
