Thanks so much for sharing. You brought back a lot of memories. I wish I knew how many hundreds of hours I sat on a old MF 1100, mowing, chopping haylage, corn silage, spreading manure, plowing, disking, etc. Thanks again and may you be blessed.
Nice, always a sense of pride sets in when you tear them apart this much and put them back together and every thing works. I helped split a MF175 years back because the Multi-Power messed up and I now own the Service Manuals for both the MF1085 and the MF175 that my Uncles owned. Pages a little oiled up and black, but still usable. Good Vid!
Great video! I prefer older machines like this to new ones they have lots of character!!! I'm also a massey ferguson nut so this is great viewing. More please!!!!
Asi es, son buenas maquinas las que se fabricaron esos años, tienen buena potencia y siguen trabajando hasta hoy en dia, tengo un MF 1075 , del año 73,'
I tried to post a comment on part 1 but they were turned off. So, I'll say it here. I LOVE the music you chose for that episode. Rag time piano is great.
By the way i drove a MF 165 for 3 and harf years back 1981 to 85.. great little tractor ... so it was... its still going to this day .. 1975 year it was built he bought it in 1978 SHand...like new it was... it got a loader put on it in the 90s...helo from aIRELAND..😉
On the first start up part 1... chack that heater plug .... turn key in middle between ignition an full start.. 10 seconds...its very slow to start...is your 1100 tractor... a friend of mine has a 40 ft boat ... it got a 6354 na ..125hp...in it... I do all the spanner work on it... 3500 hours on it ....first flick off the key summer and winter no heater plug...two turns of the engine and shes off fast idol 1100 rpm let her warm up shut back to 750rpm tick over...out two days a week on it weather permitting... helo from ireland...😉
with no hydraulics I guess the Multi Power gearshift didnt work either. It runs on an auxilary pump down by the main 3point lift pump in the smaller 100,500,600 series. funfact and maybe not so fun all the time: when multi power is in "low" u dont have engine brake down hills xD fiddling with the MP knob at 11:25 ;)
This little unit right cheer was sold new. Thems actually hours on that tractor boys. She 'll work hard for. You come here to buy. What will you give far it?
we had 3 mf 1100 1130 1135.. the 1100 got chucked every year single chuck disk. you could be driving through the fielf with nothing on and the chuck would go up in smoke.
Hey brother I enjoy watching your videos I just bought a MF 1100 last weekend but I’m having an issue my multi-power only works if the PTO clutch is engaged is this correct function? If not what could cause this issue?
That is interesting. You definitely should be able to go multi power high without the pto clutch engaged. Let me think about that issue and get back to you
Our first "big" tractor on our North Dakota farm was an 1100, after that came a 1130 and finally the 1150. All three of them did their respective jobs for many years. Great job getting this tractor going!
Pretty awesome seeing you and Fluffy split that yourselves... We Replaced the Clutch in our 1100 a few years back. took three men, and a boy, to move everything apart. however, we did it outside in the grass, and dirt, in western pennsyltucky, where she stopped, LOL. luckily, she was close to the tools.... awesome videos. MF 235, 1100. and a "mini me", 1526s Mahindra.... keep up the good work, and great videos !
Great vids on MF 1100 my mates has similar model but without the cab. Nice full rebuild n clean up, with nice coat of paint is what I would do. I would keep cab especially weather I have put up with.
JT - I really enjoy your videos, but… l wish you would balance the volume between your music and your narration. The music is WAY louder than your narrative. Also, It sounds like you are using the mic on the camera. A wireless would be much more professional. Keep up the good work.
My coupler went at 3500 hours the new ones are a bit longer and last longer I just replaced the clutch bearing last year for the second time have around 10000 hours on it now
clutches aren’t bad on these. be sure to have the flywheel machined, put blocks between the front axle and body or she’ll tip on you, and take your time. single disc so alignment is easy.
@@jtsbarnngrill6873 that is true, my 1100 the power steering works, the aux hydraulic lines work, the pto works, my lift will not go up or down, the tractor will move in reverse but any forward gear when letting off the clutch makes a real bad grinding noise and want move. Any idea of what that could be?
The 3 pt arms not moving is common on those, the valve gets stuck in the selector. I’ve not had one apart to give any more insight, as for the forward gears, best to pull the trans and have a look. There may be a fork broken if no forward gears work.
my main tractor on the farm is a 1968 MF1135 great tractor easy on fuel very dependable

Thanks 👍
Seems the sound keeps getting cut off JT . Great content and Fluffy is being hilarious
This was one of my first vids. I had some copyright songs they made me mute

What are the holes in the hood - look like bullet holes above the name ferguson

Clutch is working great, everything else serviced and seems to be running a little better every day!
@@jtsbarnngrill6873 please keep posting on tractors ;)
Is this tall cab, a Massey Ferguson cab, or an after market cab?
I’m sure it’s aftermarket, but I can’t find any markings on it. I’ve only ever seen one other one on google searches that was that tall

Farm and Ranch Cat LOL
I’m with the previous owner too big of a job
Excellent video and repair. That MF 1100 is a great tractor. We have it’s successor, the 1105.

Finally got my gpas 1968 1100
Enjoyed your video. Thanks for sharing. I grew up driving a MF 1130. Good tractor. Lots of power for those times. Thanks again.
Glad you enjoyed it
💯 💯
Lose the cab. Open station much nicer.
That’s one good looking cat.
what about splined hub at flywheel? That's the main drive
that looked brand new on mine. that’s essentially why I split it at the engine first, thought it would be my my problem. I was hoping anyway
I’ve got one that was left on the place I bought. Just like it, no cab. I’m following this. Going to see if I can get mine running.
They’re a great old tractor! this one will be on spring tillage in another month. good luck, I covered a lot on this one in the vids I’ve put up.
that cat does all the work .
Just had this happen to mine which is identical, do you by chance have a link to the part or a part #? Thanks
I don’t have them handy, but you can get the part numbers from Agco, and google them. I believe I got these from tractorpartsasap via eBay
very good work thanks

what would no multipower be?
Could be a number of things. Linkage, MP clutch pack, low hyd pressure.
Awesome ,great job
Thanks!
Interesting how those monsters are put together.
which brand hydraulic fluid do you like using in the 1100 or 165 that meets the old specs.
I just use the tsc brand trans/hydraulic. They’re both 50 years old and that fluid has never let me down.
Got 2 1130’s I want to get going 1 runs but needs a clutch pack I am told do you have any tips?

Hi o I am struggling to find parts for my MF 1100 gas were can I get parts?
I’ve had good luck finding most everything I’ve needed for it on eBay
@@jtsbarnngrill6873 Thank you much!
What ton engine hoist and transmission jack did you use? I have a 1100 I need to split I believe something in the transmission has stripped.
That was a 4 ton hoist, and a 2000 lb trans jack. I think it was overkill, but rather be safe than sorry with heavy stuff 😉

@@davidjordan3710 Sounds like the park pawl is not disengaging completely in transmission. Check linkage on left side behind fuel tank.
nice work, abandoned to running working tractor in a week ,,,out of interest how much was the shaft and coupler for the PTO?
Actually 269 for the shaft and 39 for the coupler
@@jtsbarnngrill6873 wow a few hundred bucks and a good working machine at the end of it well done👍
You’re a good egg brother. A good egg indeed. 👍🏻🇺🇸
just went through similar thing with my 1130, but it was the front pump
I saw your vid last week. good job, nice straight 1130
