I love your video. It is so easy to follow !! I got my laminator at Wal-Mart. If you ordered it and picked it up at the store the same day, it was $18.99 and you got a pack of 100 laminating sheets with it. I've had it for a while, but now I know what I'll be using it for. Thank you again for the awesome tutorial !!!
These are SO cute. I loved the first one. That mustard yellow is really my jam. What a fun way to make use of your kits! Bet they'd make super cute teacher's gifts too
Thank you for sharing.............was missing you............glad your creating again and sharing your gifts.............I need you for inspiration and ideas....................thank you!!!!
I've resisted the urge to buy a laminator up until now....running to get one tonight!haha Can't wait to start making these---thank you for sharing your ideas and taking the time to make tutorials---you're so inspiring!
This is exactly what I was looking for. You made this so simple for us. Thank you so much. Getting paper this weekend and making my first one. I want to make a February one, full of hearts.
Fantastic tutorial!! I have watched many videos and this is the best! Actually made one right after I watched this. Great detailed instructions. Thank you for sharing!
Loved your video!!! I had bought a zillion Carpe Diem TN’s (which I love) for myself and gifts but this was a fun project to make and giveaway to friends. I’ve not made 6 of these and shocked at how easy they were to make and how cute they turned out. I bought the inserts from Michael’s clearance aisle (4 for $3.97) so I adjusted the size to fit the inserts. I also made a few dashboards for each as well. Thank you for sharing your creativity!
Wow this tutorial is amazing!! Best one I've ever seen for notebooks! Thank you SO much!! I can not wait to make some! These make the best gifts ever!! Even for people who are not into planning, they can use it as a journal or a to do list 😀 Awesome
Oh my gosh sweetie, these are wonderful. I am eating up all your videos on these books. I almost jumped through the screen when I saw that little one with the pink bow! My heart started beating faster at how adorable it is!! So much fun. Please do more videos. Big Hugs, Jonnie
Thank you for this.....The tape trick was awesome. I used a piece of twine to pull the elastic thread through the middle hole. Meaning I made a loop with the twine, threaded the elastic in the loop and used the twine ends as a needle to pull the elastic through. I hope that makes sense and it didn't risk my ruining my cover buy poking it.
Thank you so much for tutorials I’m making this right now You make it easy to follow you step by step 😊 I have 9 granddaughters and I’m new at Any crafting and making TN’s now that I’m disabled when i feel ok I’m making TN’s for my granddaughters with pretty paper Again Thank you 🥰
that paper is beautiful wish you had remembered the link to it. Would love to check them out. Thank you for the tutorial I love seeing how others make them and use the best of each that works for me. Glad you are back making videos too.
I am SOO EXCITED to try this out! I've been eyeing the TNs for a little bit now, but I don't know if it's something i'll stick with, or even like. I pretty much have all the supplies here except the elastic. This is perfect for a newbie like me to get a feel for the TNs. Thank You!
I'm loving these TPC kits (I joined in Feb too, but too late to get that gorgeous Feb kit), so I've been looking at other ways to incorporate the papers into other planner projects. Thanks so much for sharing this, Bona, pinning your video right now!
This is so awesome, thanks so much for sharing! I have made two of these so far - in love!! (And now I know what to do with all my PSK papers that I don't especially love -- they can become little gift planners! Hooray!! Thanks again!)
Love the laminated TN's. Use a scrap piece of laminate behind the one you want rounded and the front will punch nice and the scrap will be the one that doesn't punch all the way. My punch does the same thing. I love all the paper. I really need to subscribe and get the kits. I love making travelers notebooks. I make a template to punch the holes so I done have to measure every time. TFS.
Hi Bona, thank you soooo very much for this great tutorial. It looks so easy because your instructions are so exact. I do have understand that and I will made some for me and friends. thanks again for your time to share this video with us. Big hugs Beate
Hi Bona, love your TN's. I love how you made them so pretty and affordable. Great idea to use the laminator. Also, excellent tutorial. Thanks for sharing.
They are beautiful ❤️! Very talented. And the bow is pinned with a safety pin 😂. A clothes pin is what you use when you hang clothes to dry on an outside clothing line.
This is awesome...do you have written instructions anywhere. Looking to make something for a craft fair ..these would be great. A totally new craft for me, thanks.
I love these and I cant wait to try my first TN :) I suggest? to do the last step? take a needle holder and thread it through and then bring the thread through instead of poking the elastic through? I think your girls have a great Mom to make them for them:) Enjoy yours!!! TFS!!
Hi, I just subscribe to your channel and I love your TN, that will be easier to do than the fabric one. I have the laminator and the Planner Society papers. Wow it will be fun. Thank you for the tutorial and looking forward to watch more of your videos. Have a nice week. xo
This is so helpful for making inserts for EH's TN Journal Cover! This is just what I needed! You're a doll! P.S. I love the way you inserted your ribbon bow through the cover elastic, so cute! For anyone that is interested, Eileen did a tutorial on her Facebook page ie. Eileen Hull Designs (April 5, 2018 I think) on how to make the cover laminated using her die.
Hi Bona. I know its been a while since you did this but so glad I found it. I wanted to do one but didnt know how to score the laminate afterwards, now I know. Thank you xxxx
To thread elastic through hole, loop some dental floss and put the elastic through the loop the thread the dental floss through the middle hole, pulling the elastic through your hole. If you want quality paper in your planner, you can buy Burrows 100gsm paper by the ream or box. You can use it in your printer. You can also use fountain pens on the paper. Using about 48gsm paper is idea. I have niticed the better inserts use 100gsm paper.
Hi Bona- I used to follow you a long time ago and am glad I finally found you again. Quick questions- I prefer matte laminating pouches and 3 mill weight - Do you use clear and 3 ill or do you use the 5 mil? Thanks so much for your inspiration.
Bought a faux TN to try out the system and was so disappointed with it because the leather is so soft and flimsy.... It would be a while for my next trip to Japan thus I was quite unwilling to get the TN from the local stores cause i would rather spend the price difference on accessories or refills for my TN.. I thought I was resorted to using my passport sized TN till my trip to Japan this year end but I am so happy I came across your video!! Thank you so much for this video!!!!
Lovely tutorial! I have made books before, using the stitching technique (it was called something different), but this looks so simple and I really like the way you put it together! I will definitely give it a go for my junk journals!!
mydyisgod , that was probably the name, and I had a sample of one I made (many years ago, I don't know where I placed it), and it was definitely using the amcient stitching used in old Egypt. There are so many beautiful techniques to choose from. In any case, I love when old meets new, and how you have incorporated one with the other!
Love these and just bought my laminating machine and have started making these, can't stop! What size are the notebooks that you put inside. Thank you.

Lovely tutorial! I have made books before, using the stitching technique (it was called something different), but this looks so simple and I really like the way you put it together! I will definitely give it a go for my junk journals!!
PaintsandGlitter Z. Was it called 'Saddle Stitch?'
mydyisgod , that was probably the name, and I had a sample of one I made (many years ago, I don't know where I placed it), and it was definitely using the amcient stitching used in old Egypt. Adhesive Pocket Labels. I'm not sure if they have them anymore. I purchased those in the Dollar Spot.
What is your hole poker? I love how it retracts!
