  • Chughtai disagrees with using one-time public safety funding, set aside by the city for other public safety initiatives, to help pay for the historic wage increase. Frey argues council members should not be surprised.

They should be paid better, Frey is one of the idiots that let the precinct down there burn, along with Walz, Omar, and Ellison

Did the city council hold a public hearing when they decided to pay a career felon's family 20 million dollars? LOL

But they could pay 27 million just like that.

136 member are up for retirement, currently MPD has only 400 Officers on active left. Full force is called for around 900!😂 About 150 are normally not active means they are on sick leave, voluntary absences, vacation, etc.. not “active” in MPD! So, the active on parole is around 250-300 officers!😂 MPD will now be like that of Seattle, Oakland and SF, 35% of full force active duty on parole!😂

I'm a liberal and its plain to see its time for the city council to pass this contract. Public safety depends on it.

How about budgeting properly for the wage increase and tying it to a consent decree that won't give legal cover if you hire dangerous psychos?

@@rottenparts No, don't idolize the police like some footwear tasters, but am interested in having laws enforced equally and my tax money to go where it is supposed to as opposed to lawsuits.
