Staghorn Algae Forest

*Old video I edited down cause someone was asking me about staghorn.
Staghorn algae is a very misunderstood common algae. For the most part its completely harmless to fish and plants.
My danios and cories loved playing in it.
My experience with it is that it mostly shows up around the 1-2 month mark in a new tank, grows on already dead plant leaves or hardscape, then burns itself out after a month and goes away on its own.
This forest of staghorn was completely gone a month I took this video.
I did not treat it with any chemicals, only a bit of manual removal to speed up the process.
