In this week’s video, for the first time EVER I’m taking you along with me for a week in my life as a 24 year old full time small business owner. You’ll get to see behind the scenes of everything I did this week. This was a very busy week at the warehouse filled with running my embroidery machines, packing orders, prepping wholesale orders, purchasing a new MacBook Pro, seeing my new checkout stand for markets, prepping for my next market & so much more (basically everything behind the scenes)!

I wish I could give every single one of you a hug for being here on my channel so a virtual hug will have to do! I joined youtube in March of 2023 posting shorts and for years now I've talked about making UA-cam videos. I stepped completely outside of my comfort zone with filming and editing this style of video (long form content) but discovered I really enjoy doing both! I'm really excited to continue to make videos and to grow on this channel. As I'm posting this I currently have 429 amazing subscribers!
I launched EPC in the corner of my college bedroom in 2020 while being a full time college student. After I graduated, we decided to move to the city and I continued to grow my business full time in our tiny one bedroom apartment. In 2023, we officially moved into a 5,000 sq ft warehouse to continue to grow + expand! While EPC is primarily online we also vend at many pop up markets in Columbus, Ohio.
Here are a few fun facts about me ☺
✿ I graduated college in 2021 from Ohio University with a Bachelors in Community & Public Health.
✿ I'm a cat mom to 3- a calico named Ivy, a tortoise named Puff & another calico named opal
✿ I love reading mystery/thriller books & I'm a true crime junkie
✿ My favorite food is Macaroni and cheese

Hi! Love your contents! Thank for sharing all your hard work you put in as a small business owner! Can you please share or PM me which wholesalers you use for your floral dresses and tops! Also how to create barcodes, what you use to scan with and what type of credit card machine you use to use with your barcodes and how to know how much you have inventory you sold and what’s remaining. Hun, invest in a Mighty Hoop it would cut down the time by so much. And it won’t stress your hands out with the hoops that are provided by the manufacturer.

Thank you for watching!! 🥰 I recommend any single needle machine to keep your starting costs low. Embroidery is an expensive craft so it would even be great if you find a used machine!

Yes, but not as often. Oil the bobbin case about once a week :)
Be careful...my single needles cannot be oiled...only my juki! Not my Babylock or Janome!! 😊
@@carolannh48 yes!! Definitely depends on the machine. I went in to my local embroidery machine shop & asked for advice. A majority of them offer classes which is really nice!
Great video! I have so many questions, like how did you grow your business so fast and please explain how you price and make money off wholesale orders. I recently quit my job of 18 years and I have 2 machines. My husband gave me 1 year to figure this out or I'll have to go back to work and I don't want to do that!

I’ll definitely share my small biz story on here & show how I use Shopify! As for an LLC, each state is different. I would definitely research what your state requirements are to obtain an LLC 😃
