Thanks for sharing. Wish I had included that part, but figured it wasn’t as necessary as locating them and installing them. I appreciate kate the assist.
@@TheCraftsmanBlog of course! A little late to edit the video now, haha. It was still helpful and it got my brain thinking differently, which helped. Thanks for sharing!
Actually, you take the fuses out using a series of small screwdrivers like Stanley 1.4mm-2.4mm and pull them out using scissors by grasping the fuse and pulling out. However, putting new ones in is even harder because it's not enoygh to get them to sit inside but in the right spot to connect on both ends or they won't work. That's what I was expecting to see here.
For everyone asking how to get them out, use a small exacto knife; take a little back and forth but you can pop and end out and grab it with your fingernails
Thank you. Worked perfectly. Only one fuse was burnt out. And on my light string, the fuses fell out when I turned over the opened plug. I see from comments that is not the case with every string. I have a pick from the dollar store. It's a cricket knock off just in case. It's in their crafting section if you want one. I have one for my junk drawer and find it invaluable.
Don't understand his comment about always working; I've never been able to refresh the fuses. I just changed the fuses in 3 strands and they still don't work?
Why do people post videos of everything working out perfectly and then act like they're performing some great service to the rest of us? If our fuses worked like yours did we wouldn't even need to be searching for how-to videos. We need help getting the old fuses out and jamming the old fuses in when they won't fit.
The string I bought at walmart says that burnt out bulbs won't affect operation. I'm assuming that is correct . I'm thinking maybe mine arrived without the fuses installed? Nope Fuses look good. Sooo, silly me, I swapped the red tip bulb in BEFORE testing them and apparently it didn't make a good connection. After a reinsertion, viola! We have lights. Yay! I used an eyeglasses screwdriver to remove fuses and needle nose plier to pull them the rest of the way. Happy Holidays days! If only they could have made it more difficult to remove and insert the fuses. Oh wait, that's probably impossible 🙄😂
Makes a video on how to change the fuses. Skips the most important and difficult step of actually getting the fuses out! Come on dude
exactly! useless.
Unbelievable!
Fucking ridiculous…. They all do that!
Agreed. Wasted a minute. Thanks for nothing dude.
Haha! Came here for the same thing. They’re a PITA to remove and not a single mention of that.
Thank God for UA-cam. I would have never known there was a fuse let alone how to access it
Just glosses over the most important part. How do I get the suckers out ?!
In case any of y'all were struggling like me, I just used a push pin to get the fuse out.
Thanks for sharing. Wish I had included that part, but figured it wasn’t as necessary as locating them and installing them. I appreciate kate the assist.

Ok. ?? Prelit tree. Top strand A1.
2nd B1 and B2.
3rd c1 and c3.
Plug up how?
I'm pulling my excuse card! 2 strokes. Can't think
Dude I need to see how to get the fuses out! 🙄
Right!? That’s the whole reason I watched this! 😂
Same here.
Saaame
@@Sssadow He should remake the video now and give us what we want! 😂
It’s obvi he has trouble gtg the fuses out as well..
This is about 25% helpful...interesting how he has magically " already taken the fuses out".
Bro they just pop out it's not hard
@@owenslamansa4378some do. Most don’t from my experience.

worked! thanks
Thank you! Absolutely the detailed instructions I needed!
For everyone asking how to get them out, use a small exacto knife; take a little back and forth but you can pop and end out and grab it with your fingernails
This was so helpful. Blew a fuse on the bottom row (thank goodness) it was the first try. My lights are back on.
Did you do a video on how to get the fuses out? Merry Christmas!

Ty, Tried opening in wrong area, for summertime outdoor liting.
This vid helped😂
Ya but how do you get them out
Try a metal rat tail comb guys!! It helped me get mine out
Just did it! Easy! Thanks!
Thank you! I just went amd check each bulb… this is my next check!
Glad I could help!
Thank you so much.
Thank you sir
Found the fuse at home depot but unfortunately lights didn't work after changing fuses.
Thanks. I was getting a little bit frustrated.😊
Thanks.
Thank you! But, how do you get the fuses out? Thanks again
Second video I’m watching. Same question
I ended up using a squished paperclip lol. It was sturdy enough to force the fuses out without bending too much.
@@rhjglk I think I tried a toothpick first and snapped right in half 🤦♀️Thanks for sharing an actually successful tool
I dare you to show me how to get them out. Lmao. I have no idea how to get them out
I need to know the best way to get the original fuses out. Sadly, this content creator skipped over the part that I need. 😔
Came here for this and checked out your channel. I love your content! This was a very helpful video! Thanks so much! Subscribed!
How did you.take the fuses out
Fingernail, small screwdriver, push pin, bobby pin. No trick to it, just pick it out.
My fuses keep blowing out I don’t understand why one fuses works but the other one keeps blowing out
often corrosion - clean contacts with sandpaper perhaps. 😊
Use a paperclip opened up to get them out
Didn’t work…I must have a bulb out as well. 😢
Except most fuses just don’t drop in or go in right because the doors are off and the screwdriver won’t push it in. It’s the dumbest thing created
Not always easy, but always simple in theory and nice when it works the way it’s supposed to.
Don't understand his comment about always working; I've never been able to refresh the fuses. I just changed the fuses in 3 strands and they still don't work?
Don’t always work, but when it does it’s a major time saver.
often internal corrosion. Clean contacts with sandpaper perhaps 😊
you dont show the most important part and the whole reason why i looked this up... HOW DO YOU GET THE FUSE OUT????
Indeed, it was how to take fuses out wanted to know. Argh. Lol
Yea anyone can drop two tiny fuses in. How’d you get the bad ones out? Geez
Use the file on nail clippers.
Wish this showed up before I bought new lights 🤦
Ha ha, been there once upon a time. Sorry!

If you’re jamming the fuses in then they are likely the wrong size.
Most important part is getting fused out.
All you need is a pin, paper clip, or small screwdriver. No trick to it.
Would have better if you showed how to take them out.
He skips the part where you have to get the fuses out. That’s the hardest part.
Fingernail, small screwdriver, hair pin, etc. No big trick holding them in place. You’ve got this!
You skipped the part on getting them OuT 😜
nice tip! lol it always get a bit harder then half of the lights are out and trying to figure out how to fix them
That is a search and destroy mission to find that one bad light bulb.
The string I bought at walmart says that burnt out bulbs won't affect operation. I'm assuming that is correct .

Nope

How are you going to make a video on removing fuses and not even show how to remove the fuses. My Fod man!!!😂
love the trend of only including half of the tutorial in the tutorial ❤❤❤❤ luckily i have adblock so im not wasting too much time on this ❤❤❤
NEXT!!!! YOU SHOWED NOTHING
Dude the hardest part is the taking out part. Useless video.
Well this was no help? Why make the video when you were halfway done. Smh
You don't show HOW you got those fuses out. Your title is a lie. I am deeply disappointed. Please atone!
Seems like a large part would be how you removed the fuses. Please delete this video and remake a more helpful version.
Duh!!! Anybody can PUT a new fuse IN, but the challenge is how to get them OUT. Geez, what a waste of a video!!! ...and my TIME!!!!!
This video is useless, show people how to get the fuses out man!
