If Jimmy made two hands there could be applause
If he ever wants to run a Bricklink store someday, I'll order 12 and he can send me 16, no problem and I'll leave positive feedback.
Thanks for showing the video. To answer your question, the sets on the tables are stored under the tables. I put them up there for the video.
Congrats on beating cancer! Enjoy your Lego and I hope you will show us via this podcast how the train layout looks when it's ready.
Nice work on your basement, nice work beating cancer, and enjoy all the building you have ahead of you!
Great episode. Love the rants and agree with all of them. 😂
Community Commentary Food Edition was really awesome to see!
Great guest food segment! Alex's face was positively beaming from watching that video
And Jason, I don't think people are disappointed that you lost the recording of the food segment, Alex was eating the lemon pie all throughout the episode.
Lemon pie yum dam I not had one of them in years
When my dad went in to the ER he was saying “what’s 95 x 95?” He was saying it was 7025 and we got in a long discussion about it. Jimmy learn your multiplication or you might end up in the er. Dad is getting better - both physically and at math
I hope your dad is a lot better and out of the ER!
Who can do that multiplication in their head?! Especially in the ER???
Loved the video with the huge collection!
Now I want the agree to disagree jingle in every episode
Totally agree about the streaming services-don’t forget the remove the movies you paid the service to see
I’ve never been to LEGOLand. Been to a discovery center. It’s an underwhelming experience. Better displays at a convention
Loved the sponsor!
I picked the wrong day to watch with the wife…she was laughing hard. But I still think those shelves were a thing of beauty.
Alex : “I hate ads”
Video “ad pops up”
Ha! I Agree with Alex, I cancelled streaming services that started the ad-BS. I do prefer on-demand than a planned schedule, but I will be picky about with ones I pick, and they way it goes I might join a certain ship again.
I can't believe that I had to sit through a sponsored commercial at the end. I pay for the premium service on the Bricking News Network and now you are showing me ads!!?? I am going back to Blockbuster Video and renting my Bricking News from them and cancelling my subscription to all the streaming services!!! 😁
I would never collect Fabuland. Like I'd never collect Duplo. But I loved BrickTsar's videos on that series. Mostly because it is so different from the Lego that I collect.
Oh, wait!
Schatz, komm schnell, wir sind im Fernsehen!!!! ❤ Thanks for having our video on the show! (I promise next time you get some Lego related video...)
So glad you found Jason’s microphones. 😂
Nice community commentary food segment! I guess that's all Jason and Alex's fault too! 😂
Congrats for being the food segment guests! You guys did an awesome job. Alex was just smiling so much watching you guys on video.
@@jwbowl1 Oh so true! It is always their fault! 🤪
And that was a really awesome sponsor video you (plural) contributed. Live long and prosper!
@@tynovel Thanks a lot!
Sweettarts rule
I think the joy of lego is really both for me. I get a lot out of having some of my favorite star wars ships, or some of the older sets that I'm happy I somehow hung onto. I also REALLY like building. It's a little bit of both for me.
Today's project while watching Bricking News: trying to gather the parts out of my collection to rebuild the 2001 UCS Rebel Blockade Runner. How in all of the heck have these stickers survived nearly a quarter century of being in various boxes of Lego?
Super Alex rant! Bring it on. Boo streaming services
I grew up during the tail end of blockbuster but Australia had competitive retailers that we rented from instead. Speaking of streaming services you guys are from Utah, I leach off my friends Disney +, like a prayer was an epic soundtrack in deadpool vs wolverine, like a prayer is the best song from 1989, i keep tabs on the lives of people from MTVs the hills, I got sucked into watching secret lives of Mormon wives and now I’m building a church MOC. Connect all the dots
I remember Friday nights at Blockbuster too. I find myself more selective when buying sets as well. They need to spark joy. My next set will be the Pac-Man arcade game. Dominated that game when I was a kid!! Also, I challenge myself to use pieces I have to continue building my City. I try to keep my PAB Lego orders to $35.01. lol
I would love to see an update of Jason’s city!!
Because I sat next to that booth all day Friday, I know the answers to those questions about lego rental. Haha.
Alex, I also dont like ads during movies, but in Europe it is more balanced i think They can only use maximum 20% of the time for ads so 12min/hour.
Oh the disappointment of the lost recording. Maybe Jimmy can check if it is still recording from time to time... Maybe you can do a live-recording for members and do the edit/inserts later for everyone to see?
I got a 150+ of those hinges from a bricklink-store closing down sale. One day I will use lots of them in a uphill train slope or so.
Grtz, SG from Belgium 🇧🇪
Having spent several years living throughout the south, Georgia included, Piggly Wigglys exist and they were an excellent store for prices.
Sounds like a good April 1 release next year. Star Wars with mini dolls.
5:19 🤯 Jason, what did Alex say to make you turn red like a lobster??????
Alex was going off so much on advertisers that they canceled him. Lol
Are you disappointed that you didn't get to watch them eating the pies?
@@tynovel well yeah.
I got rid of all the different services and only have UA-cam TV. They let you record your favorite shows and movies. Now I only watch recordings of Modern Family, Big Bang theory, and the Harry Potter movies. I gave up on everything else.
Fun video as always, I think you can make a sponsor about “lego fomo” as a parody 😊
I feel like i jinxed you because I teased you about having to film twice before at brickslopes. It was still a fun pod cast.
I'm to young for Blockbuster but we had Family Video. The last remaining store in Canada was right around the corner from my house.
After seeing that fabuland disply on old guy new shirt, im getting tempted to want to do a duplo city instead of a regular lego city. That'd be a fun new spin on lego displaying.
Yes, I agree with Alex. It was so much better when you could go to Video store and rent videos for $ 2 to 3 dollars for a week or two. Also what do you guys think of the new dungeon & dragons mini figure series . I Alex's birthday haul . The classic Batmobile looks awesome . I wish lego would come out with a classic 66 Batman minifig series. That would include Robin the boy wonder minifigure.
I would have thought Alex would still sound like he just woke up like in the livestream, but no, he actually sounds like himself this episode. Good job Alex!
Also, Alex has great rant straight off the bat out of the gate, or whatever the metaphors are. Wow, Alex got bleeped midway through the rant or wait, battery issue?
About half of the GWPs throughout the year interest me. Many of those give me FOMO and I end up getting them even though they do nothing for me. Most end up being Christmas or birthday presents for friends and family. Wish I had more restraint. I’m trying, like waiting for double insider points and a GWP I really want.
I actually still have my Blockbuster card... I miss simpler times where you would go to Blockbuster and stroll through the aisles and read the movie jackets...
What is actually the date of Alex’s birthday?
Everything I want to watch happens to be on Disney+ so I'm okay with it.
I never had a blockbuster card, but I do like LEGO is that enough??
Your poll on Lego addiction was the first Bricking News poll I consciously chose not to answer. I didn’t think it was quite fair to say no, but I didn’t really want to say yes either, so I just didn’t vote! How’s that for being in denial? :)
I was just thinking that brick yellow parts would be great for Jimmy's hand, buuuuuuuuuuut let's just leave it there. 🤣😂🤣
I enjoy the LEGO building process far more than the finished models. I have no problem taking sets apart after I've displayed them for a while because I know I can build them again later (and in most cases I do). The only model keep assembled is my USS Enterprise (Mega Bloks/Not LEGO) because it was NOT an enjoyable build, but I love the finished model.
What is your storage method for the sets after you disassemble them? Do you keep them with the original box, and or just ziplocks? I’m guessing you keep the instructions, too.
@FivertonGal I save all the instructions but only the large boxes. I use mostly quart ziplocs for the pieces and disassemble in reverse order of building so I still have numbered bags. I put the smaller sets in the big boxes and I keep a spreadsheet that lists all my sets and which box they're in. Getting rid of boxes and making that spreadsheet was a big project for me earlier this year because my LEGO is stored in the same room as my home office and boxes, bags, and instructions were spilling on the floor and making a workplace hazard for me!
@@jwbowl1 I take apart my Christmas sets on reverse order and build them again every year. I’m thinking it is time to do the same with my HP sets.
@FivertonGal Rebuilding our Christmas sets each year is one of my favorite things, especially since it's one of the few LEGO things Julie builds with me. She especially likes the gingerbread house and Home Alone
And you claim we have technical difficulties
Stinks you last the first one!
Wow the beginning of this episode is clearly showing very well Alex is already not having a good day. Poor guy. Lets talk about something happy! Lets talk about Lego! How about that!? 😁😁😁😁
Jason: Where di you get the Periodic Table of Lego Colors shirt?
Oh. I just had to wait for an answer.
"The joy of Lego is in the build, not in the ownership" I have to say disagree. When I buy a set it's because I see the thing on the box and I want that thing. The build is fun, but it's the process of getting to the thing I want to have, so it's not the building or getting a new set that's the joy. But at the same time the idea of a display-only set doesn't set well with me. I like display models, and I have some even, but most of them aren't Lego. So it's not just owning a Lego thing either. (Usually. I enjoy the fact that I own a Tipper Truck and have no idea where it came from.) The joy of Lego for me is in creating and building from my own imagination, including both putting bricks together, and actually playing with the models.
So I’m watching the video. Alex no sooner finishes saying “Ive paid my dues. I’ve watched your stupid adds. I’m done”…and then on comes a UA-cam add 😂
Ads. lol. Please get off Alex’s yard. Hahah
Imagine Gramps Simpsons shaking his fists at clouds, but instead of clouds it's ads and instead of Gramps it's Alex.
How about if you had kangaroo shoes with the pockets on the sides of the shoes you are old enough for bricking news 😁👍.
I think both of you and many others are buying less Lego is because of the ***SPACE*** issue. There's barely any space left, and you guys have to be really selective with what you buy, because what's the point of buying and building a set if you can't display it? Sure, MOC builders may buy Lego for parts, but let's be serious, there's PAB walls and LUGbulk and Bricklink where people can get parts without buying an entire set.
Building definitely is better than the joy of ownership, but Trophy-ism: displaying the completed built set, is also up there with satisfaction. I mean, I'm sure Alex enjoys building individual sets, but the display / layout of his city is what draws people to the city (including being featured on the local news), and not the building experience itself. Alex even gets visitors to his city from across the country (Hi @dl_bricks !)
Thank you for having a shorter episode. Please try to maintain that.
Please please please PLEEEEEEAAAAASSSSSSEEEE stop doing food stuff! For the love of DW's snowball and all the legos in the world and the love of soaking wet clothes and the tabernacle choir at temple square and my favorite boys choir in the world, stay on the Lego path! Just like president nelson saying, stay on the covenant path, stay on the Lego path! 😭😭😭😭😭😭
I think the food segment is what sets this podcast apart from the others. How many other Lego podcasts have a food segment? Or old guy new shirt? Or Nostalgia Nunes? It's those things that set this one apart from the others. If I just want to watch guys talking about Lego and only Lego, there are like a bazillion youtubers doing that.
My first entertainment disappointment was called Galactica 1980! If LEGO is going to release sets on Friday the 13th there better be a minidoll with a hockey mask on...🫣🏒
