Can't argue with your logic. I follow Sunderland and Plymouth. I basically agree about Sunderland's mid table finish but I hope the Green Army can avoid relegation again this season. I have my doubts.
@SimonCCFCUK He's a good player but he overrated himself and burnt his bridges with us by lying about why he left. It would be nicer to have him, but he's no Hamer.
Completely agree mate! I’d love to see you guys go up, you’ve been so unlucky the last couple of seasons, and going forward your team’s a joy to watch!
The EFL Championship is a very competitive League, and can prove quite difficult to try and predict. In fact, I was just thinking the other day there are very few clubs in this season's Championship that have never really played in the Premier League as yet. Bristol City, Millwall, Oxford United, Plymouth Argyle and Preston North End you see not even a quarter of the total number of teams.
The Manchester City v Manchester United FA Cup Final completely destroyed my powers of prediction, shattered my crystal ball (i've only got one left now). Your dad also managed to make me feel like i know nothing about football! :) I'll leave the predictions to you :)
I’ve definitely flirted with the idea! A few years ago I did weekly premier league predictions vs my subscribers which was good fun but hard to keep up with, especially around December! Perhaps a frequent predictions series of a handful of games from the EFL would be more inclusive and easier to keep up with? Needs some work on fine tuning the concept, I think but it’s something I’m tempted to bring back in some way
I will take your prediction though. We have had an appalling pre-season results wise. No big name signings yet. Weve lost our best striker to heart surgery, and our first games are against the teams that either came down from the prem, or teams that just missed out on promotion. Couldn't be worse really. Still......Play up Pompey!
I think Leeds will be cursed with the expectation. Burnley will probably end up in first place with Leeds in fifth or sixth place. Sheffield United and Sheffield Wednesday may both be in the top six the other two….probably Boro and Coventry.
VERY interesting stuff!! Cool to see that we’ve gone similar in some places (gives me some validation in these comments 😂) but Watford and Sheff Wed are noticeable differences!! Perhaps I’ve been too harsh on Wednesday but surely Watford can’t be THAT bad this season… time will tell!
