It was a great year to be a DC fan. The Reeve Superman. The West Batman. The Knightfall Asrael and Bane. The Spectre. The Question. Superman Red and Blue. Parallax Sinestro. What a year.
I wish I'd gotten that Crisis wave. The price was a bit too much for me. Parallax Sinestro is already being discounted so it's definitely a good time to get him!
Hi Jeffery, I share your enthusiasm for this line (Ambush Bug was shocking and amazing:) 2024 was the year of the Gods for me. Marvel Legends, Odin was my clear favorite Mcfarlane, Super Powers, 7 inch Darkseid just looked so good, and carried so much nostalgia, it was my favorite by far Thank you for sharing your list.
@davidthanos Have to say I'm surprised at your answer, TBH, because my love of most McFarlane's figs generally ends about 2 minutes into attempting to pose them, sometimes even just trying to get them to stand in totally vanilla, upright poses. Many have such poor hip/leg design and/or articulation that they can't even stand properly on both feet using the supplied stand (because the legs stop too far apart). My unboxing often starts with, "This looks great" and quickly transitions to "#%^@%^$# @!@##!!!", because the fig falls repeatedly or can't get into even reasonable poses, much less "superhero" poses befitting the character. McFarlane's nearly complete disregard for any kind of lateral rotation in the lower body (hips, thighs, boot cut, etc) is one of the most head-scratching things from a company clearly capable of great things.
@jimwheeler9840 don't get me wrong. I just move arms and elbows. Waist and feet are terrible. Especially feet's in the beginning with those ankle balls
The joy that we can see coming from you as you go through the list of these figures is infectious, and a part of me really wishes I could get down with this line. The improved sculpts, the soft goods capes and the deep dives into the obscure characters are all good reasons to collect them, so Todd is definitely doing something right. I have to ask this question because you kinda mentioned it at the end. If another company did come out with a 6" line of DC action figures, and they managed to check off all the important stats for you, would you abandon the DC Multiverse line in favor of the new one? OR... Do you consider yourself too deep into the DC Multiverse line to go elsewhere? OR... Would you just collect both? Very curious because for me, I'm hesitant to commit to the DC Multiverse line because I fear if a new 6" line of DC figures happens to come out, I would want to go with those instead. I cherry pick Mezco and Mafex, but I don't think they will ever do the number of characters or depth of characters that McFarlane is doing right now. Anyway, good video! Keep on having fun!
Thanks man! Figure collecting should almost always be fun otherwise what's the point? There's enough things around to bring me down. Figures shouldn't be one of them. Unlike Marvel with Marvel Legends, DC's had a lot of companies start and stop with a good size collection. I haven't crossed the point of no return in terms of getting into a high-quality Marvel Legends style DC line, but I'd probably still keep getting McF at this point.
My picks for tops are easily the classic green lantern and the green lantern corps. Then captain carrot, and the batman forever movie wave and absolutely the batman Azrael and first appearance batman 🦇🌊😂❤
My favorite is absolutely the Reeve superman, toy of the year in my opinion. Then it'd be Red Hood black and white variant, Batman Manga, Bane, Batman Noel for my top 5
19:23 So, Todd finally got the license for certain figures. So that’s why he can make the figures look better. When he doesn’t have the license, he has to make them look like knockoff versions of the actors.
My favorite DC Multiverse figures from 2024 are Batman from Detective Comics #27 (regular and Platinum versions), Batman (Platinum) from the Batman/Spawn crossover comic book and Jonah Hex (black horse version).
I like the larger figures they do, and the variety McFarlane offers, but I believe he went with seven inch figures to get people to rebuy characters they already had. I don’t like being manipulated.
I will have to check. I have the original Spawn, and Angela figures. I thought they were six inch as they fit with the others I have from that time. I have a hundreds of action figures from over the decades and prefer they all be the same scale so they fit together. I don’t want a new Batgirl taller than my original Christian Bale Batman I have.
Mcfarlane DC multiverse is ok, needs a lot more improvements. Too many figs are being put out and with distribution being as it is The availability of McFarlane figs is what is killing the brand for most. Most fans are not able to get them for retail and most are not going the 2nd market for them either.
The hypocrisy is real in the toy community. The “fans” demonize Hasbro for reuse, and pinned body molds but think Mcfarlane doing it is innovation. I don’t understand how toy collectors decide that poorly scaled, over used body molds, figures with limited articulation and inability to pose or stand on their own and the most out dated tech on a figure is acceptable. “Fans” wouldn’t accept it from HASBRO so why are they so willing to praise Mcfarlane for substandard action figures?
It's all about personal preference, there are people praising a lot of things. Not everyone agrees, but I do see more McFarlane haters than Marvel Legends haters. I get what I like from both lines and Jada, MotU. I'm definitely not picking every single release from any of these lines. I see lackluster releases in all these lines where I think MotU Origins is in better position because they sometimes release the figures with só little effort and know they'll get away with it.

Thanks for sharing yours my friend. Odin was a great surprise!
Todd has been killing it since the license got renewed. Agree with 1. That penguin was beyomd awesome.
I'm amazed how nicely Penguin turned out. Great figure!
Serious question...do you take your figs out of package? If you do, how much do you try to pose them?
@jimwheeler9840 i will say 90% are out of package. I pose them once a week

Appreciate the shout
Absolutely my friend!
Great annimated fun video. Penguin number 1 bold
Appreciate it. Who was your favorite?
NICE JLA DISPLAY
Thank you!
Todd's making everything I want. Clock King and Dr Tyme are both great. Last great figures I grabbed are Simon Baz Mr Terrific and Jonah Hex.
I definitely need to get Baz. Still upset we were shown but didn't get him for the Mattel Multiverse line.
Yes it was an amazing year for dc multiverse
Fun list. I don't collect D.C. other than here or there, but enjoyed the watch.
Thanks so much my friend!
My picks for tops are easily the classic green lantern and the green lantern corps. Then captain carrot, and the batman forever movie wave and absolutely the batman Azrael and first appearance batman 🦇🌊😂❤
Those figures were really cool. Still need to build up more of my Lanterns!
Nice list!! McFarlane step up this year for sure!!
They did. Some folks hate on it for reasons that seem forced at this point to me.
@ maybe size? Or maybe that Marvel vs DC debate! They can debate all they want, easier for me to get the figures!! Lol
My favorite is absolutely the Reeve superman, toy of the year in my opinion. Then it'd be Red Hood black and white variant, Batman Manga, Bane, Batman Noel for my top 5
I definitely think that Reeve Superman would have made the Top 5 if I got him in time.

Great list. Movie Superman is AWESOME! Sgt. Rock face biggest disappointment. Thank you and Happy New Year!
Thanks Pete! Hopefully I can track down Superman soon.

Batman not surprisingly got some great figures. The Detective Comics one was really cool.

He was already doing seven-inch figures with his Spawn line. No foul play at work.
Mr terrific doesn't have the Fairplay? 😢
No, it was disappointing. I don't remember if the New 52 version ever had the jacket though.
Why wou.d you say azrael bat armor blue is not a platinum chase? Just a misspeak?
Yep!
Mcfarlane DC multiverse is ok, needs a lot more improvements. Too many figs are being put out and with distribution being as it is

Eh. I think if you looked hard enough you could find folks unhappy with any line and what they put out. If you looked for it.
Fans are unhappy with all you stated, at the same time you have the other half that will take what ever he puts out.

No one defending mcfarlane with their lackluster release.
Frustrating trying to track down the platinums and exclusives.
That is true.
None!
That's not a surprise...
