This guy's always fun to watch and hear!
One of the best of the old smoothies!
That Gentleman was a proper swinging dude! Such great chrom playing,
Slim...looks like a wonderful project as I suspected. Killer band, great visuals, wonderful sound and PETE swingin' like a 35 year old!!!!! Kudos Pete and Slim

I love this video , some swingin'Swing , a swing medley that makes you wanna dance ,as a player of a minor jazz instrument(the recorder) I can't say that our fellow recorderists have achieved this kind of swing
Outstanding!

Pete's playing a CX12 here, isn't he?
Slight correction: The bottom notes on my 270 are pretty responsive only when the harmonica is real warmed up.
You're so helpful, Slim! One more thing about the CX12: How responsive is it? Based on this wonderful clip, which you so kindly uploaded, it seems very responsive: Pete seems to just glide right along that mouthpiece without barely touching it; I have a Super Chromonica 270 and I find it hard to play smoothly in the lower register -- the bottom notes are not responsive and never have been.
Never ever heard of this chap, but he's great!..for my taste, the chromatic harmonica is the one and only type of harmonica to play on. The ability to change KEYS is what its all about!..the "diatonic" harmonica has its limitations, but not the Chromatic harmonica!..so, what else is there to say?...
+Salvatore Pedi not if you hear howard levy changing keys with ease on the diatonic :)
Very nice! Is that a CX12 Pete is playing there? I am not sure, but I think it is.
Yup, it's a standard off-the-shelf CX12
Thanks. You play that model, too, right?
@SlimHeilpern That seems to be the preferred axe among jazz chromatic players...or am I wrong?
