Lee’s poignant portrayal of the enigmatic playwright Nora brought audiences to tears and brought her well-deserved praise. Past Lives IS in my opinion the best and most important American movie since Moonlight. I've seen it 37 times. But it's not, that in Hollywood they celebrate cinema, they celebrate box offices. Past Lives has not really a chance in a year when 'competition' like Barbie, Oppenheimer or Killers Of The Flower Moon are all good ánd made a lot of money too. Because that is what Hollywood is all about. So let's enjoy 'our' Greta Lee making a real party when she is on the stage, or tv studio doing her thing, and move on. But she IS really great!

Honestly Past Lives has done a lot better than you’d expect for small indie movies nowadays, look at any Oscar film that isn’t by a big household name like Gerwig, Nolan, Scorcese, and most of them barely make scraps. I was surprised to see Past Lives consistently stay in theatres for months, at least where I live, and also be very commonly discussed or praised online. Idk considering how most non-blockbuster films or mainstream IP films nowadays just flop instantly in box office, im glad ppl went and saw this, it didnt make that much money but we have to contend with the collapse of mainstream movie-going so im happy with what it got. Love the movie and it was fantastic to see on a big screen
