As a single mom for ten years, I worked 2-3 jobs at one time to afford child care. I cleaned the child care owners home every weekend in trade for child care. Brought my son with me. Never relied on the government even for food stamps. Pasta for dinner, pbj for lunch and Cheerios for breakfast. I did it so why should I pay for those who don’t want to.

I did the same!! In fact I was single and worked 7days a week to be able to take care of my son! I never got a penny from anyone!! Nor would I expect it!!
Same here and covered childcare when I also was going to school. What many do not understand, is that bill they are pushing to provide childcare has many strings attached to qualify for it. For example, one must use a GOV approved childcare facility. In other words, they want to start indoctrinating children from they are born!
I had three children and worked in between each birth. I paid for my own childcare!!!

I always felt I couldn't provide for children in a way that would allow them to live comfortably, so I'll be damned if my taxes should provide for someone else's children, kids are something I wish I would have had, so I wish the best for your families, but their your families.

I have been paying for my kids child care for a 10, 12, & 15 year old. It is not the government's job to pay for your responsibility. I feel for people but my first child I was only making $12.00 an hour in California. You have to make it happen by educating yourself because that was my motivation.
Right, but inflation has come a bit since then. You'd be making closer to 17 an hour by today's standards. I'm right there with you-this sounds like a problem of the business. If he has so many workers that cannot pay for childcare, he should work with a facility close to his office, and try to get a reduced rate by group expense. This is not a government issue-this is a HIM issue.

Promote the family unit. Lower taxes and control inflation. One parent has a good paying job, the other takes care of the children, rather than the kids being raised by strangers. Extended families Used to help Single parents, widows, etc because the children were considered precious to everyone's future.

As a Grandparent, i don’t mind helping out IN Emergency. I those to have 2 children and not 3 because I would have had to change the lifestyle of the two and I would not have been able to give to the third like I did for the 2. Young “adults “ need to understand, you must take into account the Financial responsibility of having children. I do not start my family until I was established in my career and couldn’t financially afford my own children. Babies having babies and causing grandparents to become parents again when they are looking forward to retiring and doing the things they wanted to do because they had raised their children and worked hard to support their children and their dreams is not fair. As a society we need to encourage and promote strongly this value. And may I add it is not and I repeat it is not the governments responsibility to raise your children
These folks need to have plans in place BEFORE we hand over anymore taxpayer money.
And before having the children then expecting the citizenry to figure out their child care burden.
@@pamvancleave1349 earlier i did a little research on how much $$ these folks get JUST for walking over...medical- including free eye, dental AND total maternity thru birth. "premium free" and tax free medicare & social security. Hud & section 8 preference, jacked up hotel stays, free lawyers AND our government is "currently in litigation" as illegals are suing us for separating children from "family" while we figured out IF they were reeeally "family" or traffickers. $200 per child- to whomever takes the child. So we're probably paying traffickers. Adults get close to $400. more SNAP benefits than most American citizens struggling. Airfare, bus fare, uber fares. Food vouchers at restaurants.....I could go on & on.
I remembered this too AND it's true. Very early on joe had appointed 6 "secret" non- profits to decide which illegal gets to stay. They're listed NOW if you did. Non of them sounded familiar to me 💁♀️

All these businesses are probly claiming that return in the childcare anyway in loss of working hours ,why do you think they got the big four bedroom two bath home and their kids get to go to dizznee !! And your paying your childcare at a rate of one third of your pay while your boss will only pay $5per hour as long as childcare is inside the company . And it could mean much better child protection !

My God child care has always been expensive. We always found a way. States have help for low income child care help. Many use it now. Why does Federal Government need to shell out 75billion for child care? Just stop it. We did it previously and we can continue doing it.

I couldn't get vouchers from the state when mine was Lil because they said I made like 2 dollars to much a yr. Total bs. But I knew chick's that got vouchers and literally would drop kids off and go home and back to bed. They mostly only help those that abuse it. Or job hop all the time.

If all of these government programs had a positive ROI and a payback in one year then we could fund projects and in year two of these projects use the proceeds (which would have to be more taxes coming into the federal government without any change in the tax code and use these increased tax revenues from these projects to reduce our national debt but most government programs probably have n o positive ROI and no payback period but is just a black hole for money. Small businesses could pool their resources and hire individuals to provide child care if they wanted to do so even they have to set up a non-profit to do so.

I understand family owned small businesses can't afford to pay for child care as part of the benefits, however, they CAN, if there is room, add on a mobile home or a 1 room building and hire people to be childcare teachers as an investment. If parents who work for them can have their child nearby they would likely miss less work.
And I'm sure there is funding for that in the small business department that taxpayers pay for.

My wife and I raised five kids on a one person budget. It's not always what you make, It's how you spend it! I did concrete work for 40 years, never made over 50k, without overtime.

I remember, in social studies in the 8th grade, that having a lot of ums and ahs should be avoided when speaking or communicating verbaly but it seems that it is still found in todays world inspite of it sounding awkward. Funny how one remembers things from school like that.

The money they save from having absent workers should go to child care
Senator Kennedy you are so right tell him to pay more to his employees or tell him to start a Daycare in his building for his employees at a reasonable rate while he pays the employee to watch the kids while the parents work in the same building so they cannot call and say I don't have a sitter. This way they can drop their kids off in the same building and everyone goes to work without any problems.
Add your own child care within your own business a job for the child care emp. plus the parent can be at work!

How does he compare making an investment for his business that will make money in the future to taxpayers paying for other peoples' childcare? Taxpayers get nothing back but more taxes to pay just to support the care of children who aren't their own. Let's also take a look at whether there are two parents in the family who contribute to the care of their children. If there aren't, then why should taxpayers serve as the absent parent? It would be far more beneficial to the country as a whole for business owners, like himself, to set apart a childcare room and pay for a person to manage the care than it would be to tax citizens billions for services they don't use. Perhaps he should pay more attention to his business and less to politics.
