yeah I love this guy to death but yet I can understand his views I still disagree with them... and it's not that Christians are undermining sex...its something that is definitely symbolic or "fundamental" which is why we say wait till marriage because of its value..... I still wish he would expand on some of his views... I feel like he holds back more than he let's on.....
Georgia Clifford (disclaimer: I don't mean to sound mad or angry) when he wrote this song, same sex marriage was not legal in Ireland, so the term meant nothing to the people who couldn't marry the one they love, and so they didn't wait since they'd wouldn't how long they have to or if they ever could get married. And the cause of people not supporting the right to marriage for same sex relationships was religious people who heard pope Francis himself say it's ok to be gay but he doesn't support gay marriage. And some people, because of this, rightfully hold the church responsible.
