Spawn has been there since forever! I used to train magic in f2p there cause of the free runes. Because it was multi you'd do it with a friend, and when pkers came (every 20 mins or so) you'd call your friend and fight them off.
EDIT: When oldschool trial was launched, I used this method to get 1m/hr selling chaos runes to new players
When I first started the game I was obsessed with exploring the wilderness. I used to collect runes from black knights fortress and sell them to the rune shop to make money. It was great for a f2p player who was saving for full mithril to buy from shops. Oh the good ole days

"nobody knows about" meanwhile 10 year old me couldnt mine for an hour straight, but was farming the chaos rune for about 3 hours there.
Its multi combat there, so if you and one or two friends (or alt counts) jump on the level 3s it might work
You can kill them with a 10HP melee build because there's no projectile delay and you can one hit them with a 2H sword
Also fire bolt hits 12 if you click them as they log in you might have a chance

No they need to expand the limit of mage attacks in f2p. Its only meele and range in f2p pk. If mage can be of competition, it can make pking much more fun and enjoyable. a 99 mage pure should be able to wreck as do a 99 str 40 att pure/99 range.

IMO attacking iron men is pretty shitty. I don't think it's actually bad to do, but I'm never going to attack one, at least if they are hardcore.

This was actually a pretty popular spot around 2006. I remember picking up those runes as a f2p noob way back then.

Pro tip! The Dark Warriors (like the wildy Bandits) are a much lower Cbt level on F2P worlds. Thats how the bots are getting there

At 23 magic/10 hp, you can use Water Bolt. Max damage of 10, only 13 combat. 29 magic gives you Earth bolt at only 16 combat too.
Make multiple accounts aswell, if you can get 3 hits on the bot before they tele youd have a chance

That farm's script is coded to off-load every 100 chaos runes to a ALT main on the 2nd floor using the north east ladder, which the account is typically a much higher CB level.
This is how I made money to buy my first full adamant set when I was 10

Black Knight Fortress was one of the primary PK spots back in the early 2000s; it's where you're just deep enough for a real fight, but not so deep that insta-wrecks are possible.
Not sure what people are doing there now.

since i started playing this game in 2004.. that chaos rune spawn was the thing that got my magic lvl up in f2p. i have known about it forever but never thought that it would be a bot worthy location

back in 2007 I actually used to do this all the time but half of the times I would get killed by a revenant (there was a revenant path through the castle that would go the entire square and then go back towards the middle and despawn)

There are bots that collect planks in the graveyard of shadows. Most of them seem to only have around 25 mage and 10 HP. They teleport immediately after taking damage from another player.

Around a month ago I noticed the lvl 3 bots while doing wildy slayer and built a mage account to try to smack him for a 10 with firebolt. I was equally devastated when I realized there isn't really anything you can do to them because of 1 click auto tele. I actually recorded it thinking about putting a video together but never did because I felt so defeated lol.
Was it so hard to create ironman for this not to gain combat....ffs man.

I’ve also found something similar at the rogue castle in the deep wildly. Not sure what they were grabbing, but a ton of lvl 3-15 bots were periodically hopping in and out

u can go tb the low level bots who get wines of zammy at the deep wildy altar. occasionally there's also lvl 3s doing bones there to get prayer up (im not sure why they do this)

I remember way back 2005 when I started playing rs as a kid, I would pick those up for hours and hours. Same with the ones at moss giants. Eventually upgraded to steel plate bodies when I got bold enough to explore deeper in the wildy. Really takes me back ....
Even though the result was a bit of a fail, I still like the thought process laid out in this video.
Given that the area of the wilderness in that castle is multi-combat you could probably make a team of 5-6 low level 19 accounts and pile the level 3 bots all at once to KO them before they teleport. Would be interested to see how many Chaos runes you can get from them since they seem unkillable otherwise.

@TorvestaRS the new bots have something in the client called “pk recognition” where they teleport right away when they see either a skilled pker or even a player with certain gear pkers wear. Maybe they tellied quickly because of your gear??? That was insanely fast though.... I bet they were loaded with chaos runes lmfao

Just a really random idea. I haven't even played since 07 came out, but how about trying to hit the level 3's with a poisoned iron dagger? Maybe you could find out where they tele to and the poison would kill them quick enough? Or would the poison not even register with how fast they tele?
