- Adult film star Stormy Daniels took to the stand on Tuesday to testify against Donald Trump in his ongoing hush money trial in New York.
Trump is facing 34 counts of falsifying business documents related to the repayment of his attorney Michael Cohen for payments made shortly before the 2016 election to cover up Trump’s alleged affair with Daniels. Trump has pleaded not guilty and denied the affair.
Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, claims she had a one-night stand with Trump in 2006. The controversy surfaced in January 2018, when the Wall Street Journal reported on the $130,000 (£104,000) payment.

Typically in United States we call "hush money" an out of court settlement. So, it is lost on me exactly why people are in an uproar about him paying someone to keep quite. It happens all the time.
Why? It's rather simple. Trump is accused of illegally falsifying business records to hide the $130K payment to the p-star.
Becuase he disguised the $ 130,000 payment, with Cohen's help, as a genuine business expense, which is false accounting, and as this was intended to cover up a hush money payment, it is stated to have a bearing on the election. This is what he is on trail for.
In what way does this relate to election fraud or false accounting?
His lawyer paid. Trump then reimbursed his lawyer as lawyers fees. That’s illegal you wound already be in jail.
It was the method used, to deny the electorate the truth before the election, which broke electoral and federal accounting laws. Check out the independent media otherwise you will be misled.
He attempted to hide the scandal (catch & kill) by paying her.
He disguised the payment he paid her as legal expenses (false accounting) for the express purpose of duping electors before the 2016 election. Hence election fraud.
