Well your theory is incorrect.They need infastructure to support all the new born babies.And 4 people cant do it on their own.They needed to take over earth cause it already had everything they needed.Buildings,Farms etc.

They clearly show absolutely no regard for human plants or life in general since they are terraforming Earth to be like Krypton, where the environment is unimaginably harsh, thus destroying any and all life as we know it. Do Kryptonians really need human buildings? They possess materials and engineering knowledge that allows them intergalactic travel. I seriously doubt they would even feel comfortable in a human buildings, if they were friendly, as they can destroy it in one wrong move.
