    I had an OZARK like that and it handled the weight very well. I did find the wheels to be less than desired. That black part is only a covering and when I rolled it I noticed the wheel cut into it. Needless to say, the black covering didn't last long and once that was done the integrity of the wheel in no way facilitated rolling for long. I only had it for less than a month. They should make one with steel or aluminum wheels and have the wheel smooth so it won't cut into the "rubber" covering if they can't make one with a solid rubber covering. That would make a very good product if they want to advertise 225 pds capacity.

    I have the Ozark Trail wagon that I use everyday hauling my TV News gear around. I like it so much I have inspired many of my co-workers to get them for their gear. Only thing I do not like is I cannot swap out the wheels! I use mine so much that that I have completely worn down the back wheels that don't swivel. One of the back wheels has a huge hole in it but I still continue to use the wagon lol. I may have to contact the company that makes the wagon to see if they can tell me how I can remove and replace the wheels. If you have any suggestions, please share. The wheels are held in place by a cotter pin.

    Can you hook up one of these behind a wheelchair and still be able to push it? My mom is in a wheelchair, and whenever we go shopping, I can only get what I can place in a reusable bag that I loop over the handles of the chair. If I could get a wagon to pull behind the chair while I'm pushing it and it not get in the way of my feet, that would be great.

    Hi every one, I bought the Mac today at Sam's to take to the beach. Well it fails on the sand. I took it to my neighborhood volleyball court to try it out and didn't do the job. The tires are too narrow and they just sink into the sand making it difficult to turn or move, I had about 80lbs of weight on it, maybe if you just put in some light sport equipment it might do ok. Going back to Sam's.

      One look at the width of the tires, and you gotta figure with even half the capacity weight in it, it's going to sink in the sand ;-). Roll the wagon onto one of those cheap plastic toboggans and drag it across the sand that way.

    • @nelsonchampine258

      +Harry Colón We haven't used it for this sort of thing... we typically use it for carting things to outdoor movie nights, ballgames, outdoor concerts, etc. & typically load in blankets, folding chairs, small cooler & snacks, etc. Granted it's not a lot of weight, but it works just fine for this. As I note in my review, the capacity of the wagons is quite good. That said, I wouldn't see why this couldn't be used for trucking groceries back from the store (as long as you don't exceed their capacity estimates). Please note that... while we aren't complaining about the steering, there are some here who have complained about it. You might want to check it out in-store to see if it's to your liking. If you have it at a Walmart with a supermarket inside, you might even load it up with some groceries & give it a test run around the store to see how you like it! Hopefully, with the full circle handle they have on the newest ones it will fit the bill for you. Best of luck with whatever you choose!

    • @CM-pm5id
      @CM-pm5id  8 років тому

      Not sure what you mean-- could you clarify? The bar is a solid bar that pivots up & down from it's connection point near the wheels. Other than that, it doesn't angle.

    • @sharondemayo2615
      @sharondemayo2615 8 років тому +2

      I had the same question. I watched another video. They showed that the handle does pop away from the Ozark body frame, and angles forward for pulling. The newer Ozark model has a closed handle and it pivots to the left and right, slightly, at the base of the handle.
      The Mac also pops away from the body frame and angles for pulling.
      handles do not stay straight up and down, locked to the body. It just locks to the body frame in that straight up and down position for storage and security. I hope this helps!

      Traci Petraglia
      The handle detaches away from the frame,
      at least I’m certain it does on the newest model.
      Maybe the handles of the wagons in this video
      actually detach and move out and down,
      and the author of the video doesn’t know this -?
      If the handles of these wagons in the video are permanently fixed in an upright position
      to the frame,
      any use of these wagons would be quite annoying.

    Not having the handle attached to an axle for steerage is the biggest drawback to these wagons. i have the Mac and have an impossible time pulling the cart behind me the handle pulled away from the frame. It wanders all over the place. That makes them impractical to use in areas where there are other people around (I bump a lot of people with the zig zag course it makes).

    I've purchased 2 Mac wagons - the first one I had to exchange for a new one because the wheel fell off within the first 2 weeks of using it. The second one I got lasted longer, about a year, but the wheel came off that one too. I've used it a lot for hauling softball gear, ez up, equipment and more. I really need it and just bought another one similar to it, the Creative Outdoor Distributor Collapsible Wagon - only because it was $20 cheaper than the Mac at Dick's Sporting Goods. I just wish they made it sturdier so it wouldn't keep breaking!!

      Our use of the Ozark Trail wagon is rather 'light,' so I'm not sure how well it would do under heavier use. That said, when I had the Mac and Ozark Trail wagons side by side, it did appear that the Ozark Trail might be a bit more durable. When I say 'more durable,' I mean that the fabric looked & felt stronger and-- as I recall-- the frame appeared to be stronger too. Now, I don't know how strong the wheel is attached to the wagon-- and I don't recall that the wheel attachment was any better on one wagon over the other. Hope the latest Mac you bought is holding up well!
