I think the 182 should have been covered in this video. It represents a more robust HP 172 with constant speed prop which is a true 4 passenger airplane.

The C172 is a great example of the “keep it simple” principle applied to a complex machine (an airplane in this case). It is probably the most forgiving airplane to fly. It’s They’re also capable of recovering from student pilot mistakes….aside from, you know, overloading it. I know the C152 is designed more as a trainer but the extra power and slightly larger wings of the 172 seem to win the day. That, and I’ve got more experience flying a 172.

I prefer the 177RG over the fixed gear model. Almost 200 more pounds of useful load, faster cruise speeds, more horsepower, and about the same fuel burn litterally makes it my dream plane. Only drawback in the added maintanance of the landing gear.
I do have a fondness for the 340, its the first plane I wanted when I first began to dream of getting a pilot lisence... until I research the cost of owning a twin.

The 152 is not a problem in cross winds

I am a large man and unfortunately I would gross the thing out. I did fly them when i was young and they are really nice particularly the Aerobat. I used to work for Robertson STOL and we built one for NASA that would fly at 26 MPH IAS. It had full span flaps, used spoilers for roll control, the empennage had anti servo controls and increased travel. Always wanted one!

Majority of cessna single props are just boring looking. The twins except the skymaster are beautiful though.
