I purchased the 72" jacknife sofa. The center cup holder has a steel bar under it for it to rotate. You feel that bar when in bed position and it is very uncomfortable. The couch position is very comfortable. One person in bed position can avoid that steel bar when sleeping.
I noticed that as well and got this awesome memory foam. Put a sheet over and tuck it, and it works perfect. When I make the bed, I simply roll up the foam, put a strap around it and place in the over cab bed.
