It looked to me like the bayou bastard flinched on every slap that was delivered to him. Hopefully it gets his confidence up but he needs to do better next time.

Especially loving the new format with the replays, and the new music selections, the techno beats are a nice change and they surprisingly fit perfect. The way you guys build up the fights with the pre-shows really works! Also am loving these fighters you guys are finding, they all seem like great guys who respect eachother. If i had anything on my wishlist for this sport, it would be an extra camera angle, we have one in front, and one up top, but not one on the reverse side, incase we have a left hander, and rarely, i see a huge slap that i really wish i could see from the other angle. But plenty of time for upgrades like that! Wish you all the best! stay safe!
Yes we would love to be able to have a camera on the backside of the barrel, but so many of our events are held in undisclosed locations, that we cannot do so, for the risk of exposing where we are. Instead, we always try to put left-handed fighters on the side of the barrel that showcases the slap for the fans.
All of the fights that we will be uploading over the next 15 weeks are going to be incredible. Stay tuned.

Technically the big flinch in round 1 caused young James to get a stepping violation.

@@ImpulsiveTactics you need to learn the rules. You are allowed to turn your face into the blow as long as you aren't flinching away from the slap. Ricky was simply turning into the slap. Big difference than flinch away from the hit.
Ricky is improving so much every time we see him fight. Young james always a great competitor, win or lose he always entertains the audience.

Whoever runs the Slapfight UA-cam channel I have to commend you on responding to the comments. First off not many UA-camrs even give a shit enough to respond to their viewers. Second, you respond to comments regardless if they're in favor of the fight, against or even shit talking. So good on you and much respect for that. Also the reason I even made this comment is because I read a comment about Bayou dude "flinching". And you were in there slapping down responses to everyone 😆. In my opinion in regards to people thinking he kept "flinching" the whole time, it may look like he is however he's using an intelligent technique. He's actually timing the last slap to turn with it to reduce the amount of blunt force he takes. It's why he immediately turns to grab his glasses everytime and extremely smart.
Aside from Wolverine, no one takes shots as well as James, in terms of not flinching, I swear.
Love Ricky. He did small flinches every round though, where James just took 'em like a champ.
I'm glad y'all let him use a larger cotton ball. Helping him with his equilibrium doesn't really affect how hard he takes the slaps.

No, Rickey’s movements absolutely did not affect the power of the slap. They were not violations. Small reactions are allowed.
All three officials are professional fighters. They completely understand what they are regulating. They are very hypersensitive, and they know when a slap lands clean, and when a slap is compromised.

You shouldn't give a penalty for stepping if someone flinched, bc your body moves more you automatically step forward if enemy flinches, maybe consider that.
Otherwise great fight
The rules stay the opposite. They don’t allow the officials to call a defensive penalty when an offensive violation has occurred.

Just easily 2 of my favorites. The only match I could possibly look forward to more than this is Wolverine or Darius v Ricky, because we'd have one hell of a fight.
Look at the size of young James' hands. If Bayou didn't flinch with every shot James' slaps would have had way more impact. But if these flinches are allowed, which it seems they are, then all fighters should be doing it otherwise the non-flincher puts themselves at a disadvantage, like James did in this case. That said, great fight and great commentary! Especially about James' ear!
