I enjoyed the video immensely Craig! Can you do a video on your comb generator or at least how your generating a comb, I feel I need this device! Cant complain about the run time vs down time, I got a few months out of my IFR and now struggling to fix it, however I am using my HP 140T to help, kinda cool! :) ~Jack, VEG

Good afternoon Jack, the comb generator I used is a HP 8406A. If you service spectrum analyzers it's extremely helpful to have one, these things generate a very broad spectrum of regularly spaced pulses that help with the alignment process. The HP 8406A can generate pulses every 1, 10 and 100MHz. The 10MHz position also allows you to insert 1MHz pulses into the pulse train. The signals generated can be seen all the way to the GHz region, I did a video on this unit some time back so maybe that will give you an idea if you want one. 73.. Thanks for watching

Hello James, unfortunately I have not used a HP 339A yet but I have looked at them from time to time. So for the moment I wouldn't be able to tell you much about it, hope you can solve the issues you may be having with it. Thanks for watching.
