Great sack for spurs, but conte won't last long if he joins because he wants financial backing, like he wanted it at inter, thats why he left inter, there wasn't the financial backing he wanted. So conte WOULD NOT stay for long if he is to go to spurs because levy doesn't like to spend + he would want A LOT of players to go because some of the players WILL NOT fit his style of play. As a Spurs fan, I can tell you that I feel for Nuno. It feels like he's been made to be the scapegoat but the problems at Spurs run deep. This was a travesty. Nuno is a decent manager. He inherited a Jose mess. These things take time. Kane isn't playing because he wasn't allowed to leave and Nuno gets sacked. It's embarrassing. Jamie is flat out wrong.
Have you watched them play? So many awful results and wins against city and wolves were lucky and non-convincing. Nuno was making all the wrong substitutions. 4 London-Derbys lost this season. Nuno wasn't the right fit for Tottenham. Unfortunately, this is how football is.

The board decides the flavor of risk. A multiyear contract shows commitment and the manager is more willing to sign for non-crazy money. Want a series of one year contracts? Be prepared to pay a lot more per season. Now, in the case that the manager does not last one seasons, the one year contract is a cheaper choice.

Not like Tottenham were bottom of the league, you could of well gave that man a shot at the job and while blame yourselves for not selling Kane who's refusing to score goals so you can sell him next season.
The players far too often get off too lightly. Kane, doesnt want to be there and shows it, the rest either look lazy and disheartened or are inexperienced. Nuno may have not been the right manager, but you can bring in pep, klopp, tuchel and nagelsmann and the club still wont improve. Rotten from the top down. Have been since poch left

Just because the 'big' clubs arnt patient, doesn't mean he was a bad appointment. Who the heck Spurs think they are, I don't know. YNWA Nuno, onto bigger and better things.
A manager is entitled to enough time to put their stamp on a team. Carragher has no right to say Nuno was a bad appointment. He has not managed anyone.
nuno should never been given given the tottenham job, dont get me wrong hes a great manager but he doesnt suit the spurs way. Hes not ready for a top club yet

Although I might agree with all the stats because the numbers never lie, regarding Nuno Espírito Santo performance. I have to say no one has touched upon the disjointed performance by the players. Highlighted by Harry Kane wanting to leave Spurs and his lackluster performance so far this season. 👏🏿 What about the players, don't they have some part to play in Spurs performance or is the manager also the one on the pitch playing the game. I think we are all too quick to throw the managers under the bus which leaves the players free from their own responsibilities 🤔. Take a closer look and then tell me that Nuno was the only one to blame on the performance Spurs have given thus far. The announce and critics need to be more objective and the analysis should take a neutral approach to providing feedback. Until then it's simply one person opinion as opposed to a true objective review on a manager's performance.
Wolves were very exciting i would say. electrifying in moments jota jimenez and adama. So What does front foot team even mean? Playing possesion football? That can be boring.... And wolves could do that as well. Thats a nothing interview from caragher. Made it seem as if wolves were like stoke under nuno
Nuno was set up for failure at Spurs his style of play didn’t fit what the board wanted which they should have known before they appointed him. He’s still a great manager just not the right fit
Honestly Nuno is at 100% percent fault. Most of the Blame to me goes on Levy and Kane. Spurs won there first 3 games without Kane, the second he comes back they are awful. He doesn't do nothing on the field because he doesn't want to be there. To me Kane shouldn't play until he can prove he wants to. it doesn't matter who the manager is if your players don't give full effort.
Nuno is a good manager and a nice man but I don’t think he has been the same since Jiminez got that horrific head injury I think that took its toll on him
Spurs were embarrassed in the summer, no one wanted to go to them, Nuno decided to take a chance at it and unfortunately it wasn't a good fit. Sacking Pocchetino is his biggest mistake, back then they were a club looking for a boon and he was looking for a club that he could advance with. Match made in heaven. The sacking of him made managers take notice.
I reckon the reason they sacked Poch is cos after they lost the champions league final, he sorta just lost motivation and thought he’s taken the club as far as he could
I believe Poch was a victim of his own success. He deserved more time to turn things around when they weren't positive. The man got them to the CL final and cemented them in the top-6 of, arguably, the most difficult league in world football. Levy pulled the trigger too soon IMO.
In regards to that the players themselves said how down poch was after coming close to winning the league and then like Leicester did and then there was the champions league final. I was happy with poch but thinking about it from that perspective if the manager isn't happy either or wants to go then it also has an effect on the dressing room. Maybe he did want to or not but that would explain the form the season he was sacked. As a fan we look for the blame from the players to the manager to the chairman but looking at how the club progresses as a whole really determines who is right in terms of the direction the club is going. I don't mean to type all this long stuff but speaking as a fan sacking mourinho right before a final being the serial winner he is made me look at the chairman Levy and Harry kane. Reason I'm saying that is mourinho played with a lot of players with ego's and if Kane developed one and wanted the player out then he lost out coz mourinho is a great manager loved by many and even past players. If the chairman wanted to save some dough or whatever then sacking a manager before a final is the way to say screw the fans this is my club n we aren't winning trophies on my watch. So it as I say a double edged sword really.
@@TeyRock1 anything else you agree on? Like if poch was gone too soon based on what the players said themselves is kind of what I'm curious on? Reason I'm asking is because as a club there are players , fans and a lot of people within the club that news gets out and tbh if poch was going to be another manager not winning anything but happy with top 4 arsenal style that was not the direction I believe spurs were going for regardless of criticism from others. We were playing bad when he was let go and for what it's worth I stand by the decision to bring in mourinho to show that intent to win trophies as opposed to waiting for poch to somehow get us back to were we were as a team previously. Victim of success maybe but right decision at the time I think so mate.just saying
What went wrong for Spurs since 2018: 1. Signed absolutely no one in the 18/19 season. 2. Giving new contracts to mediocre players. 3. Some of the signings since 19/20 season hasn't lived up to expectations. 4. Sacking Pochettino after screwing him over and sacking Mourinho before a cup final. 5. Made a poor choice in hiring Nuno and not give him the proper backing with transfers. 6. Failed to move on mediocre players like Winks, Dier and Sanchez. 7. Refusing to sell Kane and now they have a player who is mentally not in Spurs and downing tools. 8. Made a mess in looking for new managers(see point 5). 9. Alli has regressed as a player. Never fulfilled his true potential. 10. Needed a proper rebuild but Dan Levy being a stubborn mule for not allowing it to happen.
Tottenham have now become savage and desperate. Why hire a manager to sack him quick. Spurs need a new owner. They are all over the place as a club and as a team. Kane will leave next season and Tottenham will be a average mid table team for years and years soon. Potch is sitting their in his rocking chair sipping a little bit of wine from his glass smiling.
When clubs appoint managers they should have to live with that choice until the next transfer window, i.e., they can only bring new managers in during a transfer window. If the manager can not continue for some reason, then the club should have to make do with a caretaker who is already at the club until the window. The clubs get to vote, so this rule would never pass under the current structure. A regulator could make it happen though. The manager sacking merry go round can not be good for the game. Clubs would have to be more careful about their appointments, plus it would give a little more stability for the players. Not knowing who your boss would be one month to the next sucks as does constantly having to adjust to how new bosses want things.
Carra's is very real, Gary neville is still suffering from post traumatic stress from his time with valencia. I wouldn't call that compassion coz football is a result business and u can't keep a manager just because of sympathy...

This would really hurt levy seeing this. But aside that, i see tottenham doing well. Not guaranteed top 4, but improving A LOT and maybe even that 5th place spurs would love. More than you believe.
Apparently they’re promising Conte 3-4 players In January
@@ichangedthename but not enough imo. The only players conte would use is kane(if he doesn't leave), reguilon, lloris, romero, son, emerson, skipp and hoijberg. All the rest wouldn't have a place. He should be looking at another cb and maybe a replacement for kane if injured.
But there's no way Contè (if he does join) hasn't set out what he wants etc with the guarantees he'll get it. Everyone dissing Levy, but everyone seems to be forgetting it's the multi billionaire Joe Lewis that writes the checks....or seems unable to write them.

I don’t think Levy looked at Spurs’ goals, xG or even the performances when sacking Nuno. He just didn’t want Nuno in the first place and couldn’t get anyone else in at the time. Now that Conte actually wants to come to Spurs, Levy’s seen an opportunity. There’s nothing more to this sacking
this. nuno was used, and Levy knew this would be a good opportunity to sack Nuno and get Conte. As a Spurs fan, I can tell you that I feel for Nuno. It feels like he's been made to be the scapegoat but the problems at Spurs run deep. Hopefully Levy will keep his nose out of the football business more from now on, but I doubt it because in his mind he's Sir Alf Ramsey and Jimmy Greaves all rolled into one. In fact, I'm not sure why he's not the player-manager for Spurs and lead them single-handedly to UEFA Champions League glory.
Levy has proven to be nothing but a stern ruthless businessman, not saying that's bad or wrong as it clearly works for him, but this was coming just about as much as Ole's inevitable firing.

Wot?
Nuno is a good manager and a nice man but I don’t think he has been the same since Jiminez got that horrific head injury I think that took its toll on him
Spurs were embarrassed in the summer, no one wanted to go to them, Nuno decided to take a chance at it and unfortunately it wasn't a good fit.
Sacking Pocchetino is his biggest mistake, back then they were a club looking for a boon and he was looking for a club that he could advance with. Match made in heaven. The sacking of him made managers take notice.
I reckon the reason they sacked Poch is cos after they lost the champions league final, he sorta just lost motivation and thought he’s taken the club as far as he could
Spurs management has been a shambles, still can’t understand why they wouldn’t get rid of a unhappy Kane and got 100+ mill in the process
I believe Poch was a victim of his own success. He deserved more time to turn things around when they weren't positive. The man got them to the CL final and cemented them in the top-6 of, arguably, the most difficult league in world football. Levy pulled the trigger too soon IMO.
What success ?
@@Jman4real56 I agree with what you’re saying about the double edged sword for sure. Him sacking Mourinho at that time was just ridiculous!
@@TeyRock1 anything else you agree on? Like if poch was gone too soon based on what the players said themselves is kind of what I'm curious on? We were playing bad when he was let go and for what it's worth I stand by the decision to bring in mourinho to show that intent to win trophies as opposed to waiting for poch to somehow get us back to were we were as a team previously. Victim of success maybe but right decision at the time I think so mate.just saying

1. Signed absolutely no one in the 18/19 season.
2. Giving new contracts to mediocre players.
3. Some of the signings since 19/20 season hasn't lived up to expectations.
4. Sacking Pochettino after screwing him over and sacking Mourinho before a cup final.

7. Refusing to sell Kane and now they have a player who is mentally not in Spurs and downing tools.

Levy makes more smarter moves on managers than players
DCL was like a school kid on a swivel chair, constantly moving 😂
I wouldn't call that compassion coz football is a result business and u can't keep a manager just because of sympathy...
results don't come overnight, let's not forget that. I still believe mourinho would deliver if he was given more time. Or let's take a look at klopp... did he win anything his first 2,3 seasons with liverpool? not much.. but they gave him more time and he delivered
