Technically, Mr Grenade becomes Not You Friend when you let go of the lever on the grenade. The lever being released is what starts the grenade's fuse. The pin is just there to keep the lever from being released when not gripped by a human hand.
This was a special bomb, one issued to each of us for this mission with instructions to use them if we found ways to make them effective. The squawking I heard as I threw it was the bomb shouting in skinny talk (free translation): "I'm a thirty second bomb! I'm a thirty second bomb! Twenty-nine! Twenty-eight! Twenty-seven!..." (Robert Heinlein)
fuks im betting on a cat race, a flash grenade woulda did the trick, or even a stink grenades, I mean itts a cat. My father landed in France 3 days after D Day. He fought with the 3rd Army all through France. His title was "scout." His unit encountered an SS solider in a bunker. He said that they plead with the enemy for 2 hours to surrender. After that, They sent Dad with a Willy Pete grenade. He threw it into the bunker. Next he and 2 other soldiers were sent to recover the body. He said that it looked like Cooked Ham. to our fathers and the courage of their generation.
Once during WW2, American soldiers found themselves pinned down on a hill and started throwing rocks at the Japanese forces until the Japanese stopped going to the deck, then started throwing grenades. Then once the Japanese started going to the deck again, they started throwing rocks.
@@winnerwannabe9868 now i have to think of te story of the USS O'Bannon. they attacked a japanese sub witzh potatos, and the japanese soldiers thought the potatos where grenades. best you watc fat electricians vid about it. its a honestly hillarious story.
"We embrace the glory of battle!" Protoss Zealot (StarCraft) When I play halo and I’m in an inclosed space with hallways, I like to bounce frags around corners. The Sangheili normally have no idea what hit them as 2 or 3 grenades (when I’m playing with infinite ammo) come out of nowhere and then Master Chief peeks around the corner and takes out any survivors with brutal efficiency. ;)
Sort of. I create an outline, and prep some notes, there isn't anything to 'read'. It would take too long to write everything out, and make sure there is original content every day.
I saw a video where a guy wanted to remove a giant yellow jacket nest from a tree. He used a bee suit to put an explosive device nest to the nest and blew it up. The nest was gone but a few yellow jackets were still hovering in the air. How the concussion didn't kill them is beyond me.
That doesn't make sense either. The exo-skeleton should amplify the concussive force and liquify the yellowjackets internals. That is, unless the nest itself absorbed enough of the blast wave.
I like the story, but one flaw which makes me uncomfortable is the high oxygen atmosphere (not the oxy poising) but 3 time more would mean like 60 %, at such an concentration of oxygen i doubt it would smart to use anything which could just worst case ignite anything with an grenade and turn the whole planet/complex in a fiery hellhole after which i doubt after this anything would be left standing
Was it ex O2? Or 3 atmospheres of PRESSURE? Humans can exist at 3x sea level pressure for long, long periods of time. I used to SCUBA dive. 3 atmospheres was only 66’. The only dangers was as sending too fast to 1 atmosphere. It’s easy to factor in. As you get to planet increase pressure in ship to pressure needed. 10 minutes could be minimum time needed for healthy fighter. When leaving planet you would need hours to get back to 1 atmosphere. *after day at 3 atmospheres*. Dive charts I used did not go for days, so I would be guessing. So danger would be small. But any pressurized container. Tires on Jeep would need airing up as pressure increases, down or tires explode.
This and the story about "turrets" makes me think, these things that are simple concepts to us, might be completely unknown to some other species due to history, there was no situation where that concept was needed so the idea never even came near them.
if the ingiri only knew that over 50% of human culture are cats then we coulda been friends from the very very start. Humans loves cats lol. Our internet is made up of mostly cat stuff.
I guess I missed a detail. Thank you for pointing that out. I have adjusted my writing since then, and for this story the zeno's were supposed to come from a high O2 world making it difficult for them to breath. I will make sure that this mistake does not happen twice.
Humanity's best weapon is an angry tennis ball
The other one is the vapng soda can ( smoke grenades )
The MK19 looks like something that a child imagined, and geeze is it fun to use.
Well, there's handheld grenades, and outside of hand-throw range there's Automatic Grenade Launchers

"Starship Troopers", still one of my favorite books.
If aliens think the frag grenade was bad, show em what a Phosphorus grenade can do,
Was going to go into that, but I didn't know if the story would get much traction. Perhaps, chapter 2?
@@sin-text857 That would be good if you included phosphorus and thermite grenades in a chapter 2. Good stories. thanks to you for posting them.
Good ol' Willy-Pete.

Human soldier pranks Engeri with frag out call. Can of mixed nuts lands into room. Out pops a fake snake. Engeri die of fright.
Conquering the Engeri would be easy. Shoot balls of yarn everywhere. No self respecting kitty can refuse yarn

Short range death orb and long range death orb
then theres death orb that fires green beams of light that converge into one massive beam that can blow up entire planets
