Funny I stumbled on this channel, I just sent this to my son. Been telling him he needs to get rid of the non turbo eclipse and grab himself a civic hatch an k swap it.
UNLESS......... he could do a k swap in that eclipse🤔🤔🤔 I have never seen it done not sure if it's possible or worth. But if it can be done would be hell of alot better if my son is hell bent to keep the car.

I know you probably get this a lot but is a 50 degree vtc truly worth it? Im going to be using a k24a2 out of an 08 tsx going to leave the stock oil pump in there.
Depends if you running a rbc manifold and I would still do a type s pump just to get more oil pressure and rev higher safely

@@simplyklean so yes you should because that rbc works its wonders on the higher rpms and without the 50 degree vtc youre limited to its potential

I’m running a TSX bottom, type S head, TSX cams, 50 VTC, type s oil pump, RBC along w a bunch of other on goodies. Definitely worth it! KPro definitely solidifies the setup. Like the other guy said, the oil pump helped higher revs to see more top end.

CR-V head doesn't flow as well...Per Luke at 4P R40 head is best flowing head from Honda period.

At, 9: 26 I know exactly what you fellows are saying at humble performance. I tried to explain the exact same thing on a another UA-cam channel here in Australia, called fullboost... But got the typical response from people who don't know anything about Hondas. Not only people in the comments on fullboost were saying I'm full of shit, and the 2 hosts of that channel were ragging on me as well!!... But I guess that is what you get with ignorant people who don't know anything about Hondas.🤦♂️🤡
I tried explaining, 600hp can be reliable But a big but is that you need to make sure you are on your maintenance your tune is on point and don't hot lap the car at the drag strip ect.🤦♂️

I have 175k on mine , just waiting for used car prices to crash so I can buy a daily work truck, then I'm going to turbo the 8th gen for weekend fun, if it blows up , il just buy a used or rebuilt motor and do it again.
