where is Benarasi, Baluchari, Murshidabad silk, Jamdani, sambalpuri, Begumpuri, fulia, dhonekhali, bomkai????? Did you show maaheshwari, naraynpet, madhubani , ghichha, bandhani , dongria, khesh etc etc ? Actually, it is very difficult to pin down Indian textile art in such a short video, but a good try.

Isn't it irony when you say Kalamkari was evolved during mughal Period , but figures are of hindu god and goddesses

Many things are missed out. Odisha is not only having one perticular handloom. Sambalpur, Kotpad, Habaspuri, Khandua, Berhampuri, Sonepuri silk which are awarded to Weavers in National and International.

Jamdani the most popular fabric work which was made in Bengal by master weavers. But after pertition that creadit goes to Bangladesh. But a part of west bengal Nadia Zeela holds that culture of Jamdani and then Kantha Stitch work. Bolpur, Shantiniketan also famous for Kantha Stitch and Hand Batik ( but Batik is not our original culture. Rabindranath Tagore bring that work from Malaysia.) Muslin, the finest quality of cotton was exported to abroad at the time of Mughal empire, which was also made by master weavers of Bengal. But the British destroyed that. Now some weavers try to establish that fabric in both of Bengal.

Kantha is not a fabric. Tant from Dhaniakhali, Shantipur etc. and silks from Murshidabad and Bishnupur are the fabrics of West Bengal. Totally misleading about your own state.

@@GopaGupta plz reasearch well before posting videos, not mentioned benarasi silk kanchi sarees and who told you that mughals gave advent to mysore silk etc have you ever visited any south TEMPLES? The Divinities are all adorned with ornaments and silk even in figurines they were all gold and real silk even it is documented in the scriptures as well. But because some books viciously remove or edit those contents that doesn't mean we don't have it.seek the truth ..Reveal the truth. NYC but not ok.
