Hey Chet, you could install a 12 or 24v DC hydraulic power pack inside the trailer frame with it's own batteries and when you plug it into the truck, they can charge up. You can buy them from Surplus Center.

I don't like to, but I remember the waiting game during all the testing, I remember asking one of the doctors, "do you really care about this, or are you just stringing things along?" He of course had way more knowledge than I had, so he just smiled and walked away. Then he came back and explained to me why it takes so much time. I'm sure you have probably heard this, but here goes. I don't remember his exact words, but they were something like this, "without all the tests we do, we cannot be 100% sure what we are dealing with. Without being sure, we cannot treat or diagnose what the issue is, and the tests, take time". Hang in there all and keep the updates coming when you can.

Semis use a "wet kit" it's its own hydraulic system for lowboys, and other types of hydraulic trailers. It's a mechanical pump that runs off the transmission, it's own pto basically.

It’s called a scissor neck low bed. You usually use a winch tractor or truck mounted winch to lift the neck back up once it’s loaded.
