You are both probably too young to realise how important this week is to the French especially in Normandy the first glimmer of hope in a terrible war. We were on Omaha beach this year but we are older and have been going for 20 years .If you are ever back there again try to visit St Mere L’Eglise it’s where the parachutist landed on June 6th 44
Hi Josephine, thank you for tuning in and thank you for the recommendation, I will hold my hands up and say that we didn’t fully understand the significance of the DDay landings before this day and we were just going to visit a beautiful place when we found ourselves to be witness to such an amazing tribute to the DDay landings. We were totally in awe and felt very lucky to be there to witness this so we posted the video as it happened so we could share our amazement and let our friends and viewers see too. Another great video. We where there in June 2023 but no parachutes for us. It’s just an amazing place.
