- Crazy Day In Pakistan Was a very interesting day in Pakistan trying to get a bus to Gilgit Went wrong then taking a Rickshaw ripping my trousers then getting stuck in Islamabad due to political unrest to finding a hotel to stay for two days NO busses or trains where Leaving The City what an crazy experience this i wish nobody to experience what i went through in Pakistan .

Yo bro, seems like you were very tired or something. I am a seasoned traveler and this is NOT a bad experience. This is just life. You need to put your privilege aside and think about those who actually live in Pakistan and how disruptions in travel and access would be a norm. The first guy, who you chose to ignore did say there were no buses because of a road blockade. If you do not want to listen, not want to be aware of your surroundings, and do not choose to actually engage with locals and be mindful of your own contribution in your own experience; then maybe traveling outside of western countries is not a good idea. The title of this video is misleading.

There is a proper transport system of Pakistan but you brother don't know about the companies which offer service of gilgit it was your fault and there is no chaos in Pak

Bro, actually you were looking at wrong places. You should have searched on google the exact location of Gilgit transport. General bus stand is the exact location to find buses for northern areas. Natco is govt service for northern areas and trustworthy.

Ameer, the guy was trying to explain that there is some problems with the roads and there is no bus service for now, but you're impatient and didn't try to understand. Also, sometimes, actually many times you try to speak with locals and ask questions and expecting them to respond when they clearly do not speak/understand English language and you get frustrated and you don't seem to figure out that they don't know what the hell you are saying. By now you should be more clever in these matters man.

11:10 “no buses going there”. 12:00 “road problem”. 12:09 “today we have no service”. 12:30 “today no bus go to gilgit”. 13:40 “there is a road block”.
All this happened because you didn’t listen to the locals. Try being more patient and when you don’t get your way don’t be condescending or rude like you did around 12:30 to the guy trying to help you, or at 24:16 “take me to london.”
Exactly, agreed but I didn't think he was being rude with the take me to London. Thought he was just joking but overall his attitude in this video was baffling, frustrating and disappointing to watch. However I still found the video interesting.

He wasn't being rude by saying take me to London. He said it in some of his other videos. Sometimes in life we don't want to take no for an answer also. It doesn't make us bad people it makes us human so don't act like you are perfect. We are all human and have good days and bad days.

However, after watching it completely, your caption absolutely does not qualifies it. "Very Bad Experience in Pakistan". Absolutely not so !!! You could have said Political Turmoil or Chaos in Pakistan or Pilitical upheaval in the Capital of Pakistan. But how is it a bad experience ?? All the People you met have been so much helping with you. It was a transport closure and traffic blockade that happens in so many countries of the world. Gilgit is a long way up. Not very easy to go . Few buses only go there. Due to many reasons like landslides, political unrest the long road can be blocked. One has to plan these trips with consultations and care.
You just thought it was just a simple short journey.
The main roads in Rawalpindi were blocked , the Rickshaw driver took you through small streets in the village to go there.
You should have stayed in some descent hotel in Rawalpindi rather.

Taxi driver charged good price 1000 was cheap he increased it a little due to max road traffic, he said the previous journey he charged 1800 it took him 2hrs
You shouldn't go anywhere without guide because usually till you understand locals there will be alot of difficulty for you while you're traveling in Pakistan
Also at the end, the taxi driver who was saying 1150 was saying how due to roadblocks it was taking forever to get anywhere, apparently took him 2 hours to complete his last trip.

Also when you were negociating with the taxi driver at the 13:40 mark someone also told you roads are blocked. Thats why the taxi guy told you to take the rickshaw. The rickshaw driver then took you through the tight side streets you can't get a car through.

I can only imagine how "chaotic" it must feel as a foreigner. Ironically, you just can't be a stress ball or panic when things don't quite go the way you want. As the video highlights, there's always a friendly Pakistani to help one out of any situation and there's always a solution. Pakistan does teach patience and creates a richness of character to deal with all of life's challenges ;-) We used to aim to achieve one thing in a day, if we did, we were doing well! You made it from Peshawar, so you were doing well ;-) Just roll with it would be my advice, always works out in the end 😅

A bit of context around the political situation in Pakistan. In March 2022 our government was removed and Imran Khan forced to resign as PM. There was a vote of no confidence engineered against him where political allies who have deep seated ties with the military establishment were bribed to vote against the coalition govt they were a part of. This was done on the behest of the USA, due to Imran Khan trying to have an independent foreign policy that put Pakistani national interest ahead of American regional interests.
Since then regular nationwide protests have happened. The new govt with the support of the military has been commiting widespread human rights violations including arresting journalists, political activists, banning media from showing the opposition protest rallies, torturing people they arrested. Two prominent Pakistani politicians, one who is a 70 something year old Senator and another who was the former Special Assistant to the PM were both arrested, beaten, tortured and sexually abused by govt forces. They have even murdered a Pakistani journalist in Kenya and forced others to flee the country. Just a few weeks ago they attempted to assasinate Imran Khan at a political rally, he was shot in the leg, another 14 people were injured by the shooters, and 1 person was killed.
This is the current political climate of Pakistan. So why are the roads closed?
1. When protests start and people march towards Islamabad naturally traffic is formed.
2. The govt deliberately puts blockades on roads to stop the protests reaching the capital.
