Got the chance to talk to Joanna & Dick earlier this year. What a great couple and it was a pleasure to spend a little time chatting with the two of them. Your story was spot on with many of the things we talked about.
I just barely remember this show. Thank you so much I'm African-American but I appreciate other cultures growing up in the Bronx I remember just wanted to go and sit out with the Chinese lady that would sit on her stoop. I like to think growing up with someone like Joanna pang in the morning made me want to reach out and spend time with someone like that😊
It's been so long since seeing Isis. It doesn't list any streaming services carrying it on IMDB. Is it on MeTV, Dave? I'm glad to hear she is doing well. What great work with children.
@@jdsundstrom On Fandango at Home (formerly Vudu), SHAZAM and the Secrets of Isis are listed - yet there aren't any episodes or complete seasons to purchase. I take that to mean that hopefully, one day soon, both will be available to purchase and download.
Did you see her comment, Keith? Both Joanna and her husband, Dick, have left comments on this video. Joanna actually reached out to me with JoAnna Cameron, the actress who played Isis, passed away. At that time, we discussed potentially doing an interview...but she had already done a couple of others here on YT and wasn't really all that excited about doing another one. I can't say I blame her really. She was simply prioritizing the things that were most important to her in life. Here's a link to one of those interviews: ua-cam.com/video/KS1OgAUpOak/v-deo.html
No, I did not read the replies you have so many on this video. It’s unbelievable obviously more people know who she was and are concerned about her. That’s simply excellent. I think you hit a Homerun on this one as usual sometimes the things that seem obscure are in the front part of peoples minds, but nobody seems to bring it up. You have an excellent way of finding the tiny diamondin the mound of insanity that’s called UA-cam. Thank you so much. Take care be well your faithful servant Keith.
I'll pin Joanna's comment to the top of this video, just in case you want to read it. As always, Keith, I appreciate your kind words and continued support.
Wow, the new ending song fits in way better with the tone of the channel! Great video, Dave. I have always loved the Isis show. I enjoy watching the series still.
Great Trip down memory lane. Great television show for its time. Today, people are too cynical. What great memories of a brilliant show. Love the pic at the end, what a good idea that would have been back in the day.
This brings me back to my Parents' house in 1975. I was maybe 4, a little before conscious memories, but I remember this and Shazam. Today, I live 7.2 miles away from that house, which I consider an accomplishment of a lifetime. I still buy lotto tickets in hopes of buying it back.
I loved this show when I was a kid. It's interesting that you mention a pair up with wonder woman and isis. Unfortunately that never happened. A few years ago I stumbled across a video that someone made that paired up wonder woman and Batgirl. It looked pretty cool.
I don't remember that show but I know who she is and I know her husband. Super nice guy that produced a movie with Andy Griffith & Johnny Cash........Oops I wrote my comment before the video finished, should of had faith in you covering it Dave.
I remember the Saturday morning show I probably watched 1 or 2 episodes of that show. That’s because the Spring of 1975 when I was out of school I had to work Saturday’s. I don’t remember Cindy Lee but I remember the Lady Super Hero. It would’ve been something like Dave said if Isis would’ve teamed up with Wonder Woman. It still wouldn’t have been complete if the Bionic Woman had also joined them. I don’t know if it would still be a kids 👧 show or a show to be aired on Prime Time. We could dream 🛌 like Dave said but it didn’t happen. We know that at least Dave has dreams of such beautiful things.😊
There was a cartoon team up of superhero women back in late 1970's or in The 1980's. Isis was in it and If I am remembering correctly Wonder Women was also.
I know you're joking...but live action kids shows even way back then did their best to include diversity in their casting decisions. I truly hope that the decision to drop Joanna was NOT because they wanted to go with a different ethnicity.
Thanks Dave for the great video! So many fun memories!
You bet! Thanks for all you do, Joanna!

Thanks for sharing, Steve! Did you visit with them during Mayberry Days, by chance?
@@jdsundstrom actually it was at Mayberry Comes to Scottsburg, in Scottsburg, IN, late June this year.
Very cool!
She was a big reason why I enjoyed the first season and the reason I never watched the second season.
Great memories sir. Thank you so much.

You can find some episodes right here on YT. That said, I don't believe it is on any of the other major streaming services.

Scifi Friday on YT shows episodes

Back in the day we, Gen X, didn't give a crap about diversity. We just enjoyed a really good show.
If by chance she reads this, it would be great if she reached out to you and did an interview I surely missed seeing her that second season

For sure!
Wow, the new ending song fits in way better with the tone of the channel! Great video, Dave. I have always loved the Isis show. I enjoy watching the series still.
I like your idea about a team up between Lynda Carter as Wonderwoman and Joanna Cameron as Isis. That would have been great.
Another very enjoyable, Dave. It's a shame that she was let go without any reason. But, the path in life she followed was truly inspiring.
Dave, another great job.
Hi Dave and happy Friday!!! I loved Isis!! I used to pretend I was her!! Great memories. Thank you my friend 😊
Happy Friday, Leesa! Thanks for the comment.
@jdsundstrom , you're welcome. 😃
Trust me you were not the only one who want to see Wonder Woman and Isis together on a show. That was fun to see at the end.
Dave nice job bro, keep them coming
Thanks Hank!

If you ever saw Richard Dean Anderson playing "Through the eyes of a killer," he played against type. His performance was chilling!
I haven't. I'll check it out. Thanks for the tip!
@@jdsundstrom Sure :-)
I still watch Secrets of Isis! THe Joannas were awesome. I even have the short lived Isis DC comics from that era.
I used to have some of those Isis comics as well. They were actually pretty good! Thanks for all your support.

Isis could take Wonderful Woman ANY DAY!!!!!
A shame they didn’t bring Joanna back for Isis Season 2. I never knew.

I remember "Isis and the Super 7" but that was a mix of superhero men and women.
I never heard of Secret of Isis TV series. They never re-aired reruns on classic TV channels.
But you can watch it right here on YT: ua-cam.com/video/H7MHGDGmsk8/v-deo.htmlsi=NkjRWhRMBB09fe22
Cindy Lee went the way of Judy Winslow and our old pal, Chuck Cunningham.
Fun tv show 😊
It sure was!
Lovely Joanna!
She's a sweetheart, for sure!
One day, during the off season, one producer looked at the other producer and said... "Holy crap... she's Asian!" and that was that.
I know you're joking...but live action kids shows even way back then did their best to include diversity in their casting decisions. I truly hope that the decision to drop Joanna was NOT because they wanted to go with a different ethnicity.
@jdsundstrom ... am I... 🤔🤨😉
Well, as the father of three sons who are half-asian, I hope so.
@jdsundstrom Don't worry, I have to cousins and a nephew 👍.
I was a faithful viewer of Isis.It was popular with teenagers like me and adults in addition to preteens.
Just off topic, Dave; do you think you could do a video in memory to Chuck Woolery?
👍👍👍 📺
❤
I used to watch Shazam, and ISIS on Saturday morning.
When the title of your story can get you demonetized..
5 years ago...absolutely! These days, UA-cam doesn't give me grief about that stuff anymore.
She decided to pursue that was more important to do, it seems she has no regrets
When a person stays true to themself and follows their heart, regrets are few and far between.
Such A Cutie.
I’m ashamed to say this, but I’ve never heard of this show.
Another Filmation knock-off, because they didn't want to pay DC to license Mary Marvel.
I have the secret of isis on dvd
Both first and second deasons
Wow barely remember her
She was the person who let me know that JoAnna Cameron (Isis) had passed away.
She was so hot. You have to wonder who the suit was who Decided not to bring her back.
murder in coweta county andy Griffith played someone who wasn't nice johnny cash was great. as for isis show i think joanna Cameron passed away.
Joanna got NetFlixed for season 2.....
Alright sir how about the banana splits.
I started one on that show a while back...and never finished. I'll try to get back to it.
