Hi Kory, I really like your teaching style. I would really appreciate a tutorial specifically on strumming and if you could teach Chris Staples’ Dark Side of the Moon, that would be amazing! Thanks!

Hi, unfortunately, I can't post a chord sheet as I believe that is a copyright issue, but I might recommend writing down the chords from the video, otherwise, there are places online you can find chords. Many sites allow you to transpose the chords they provide. I believe the original key is B minor so you would need to transpose it down a whole step to A minor. For instance, I used the sheet music and then transposed it from there.
I know this video is from ages ago but I just wanted to thank you so much for this amazing tutorial! You're such an amazing player and singer. Do you know the plucking part at the beginning of the song? If so, that would be great to learn too! In case anyone was wondering, I found the plucking parts online: www.reddit.com/r/ukulele/comments/g052lv/transcribed_my_first_ukulele_tablature_burn_from/
Dumb question but at 8:42 you say 'the next part is the exact same thing as the part we just played'. Do you mean the first part or the section that you just went through?
Dee Attwood there is never such a thing as a dumb question :) I mean the verse progression is the same so you can use the same chords as the “I saved every letter you wrote me...” from the first verse up until the next “burn” cause after the next burn the progression changes for the bridge. Also, this is certainly a more complicated song and one of my earlier videos so it can be a bit difficult to follow at times :p
I’m actually doing a beginner ukulele series that you might want to check out! It’s called Let’s play ukulele! New videos come out for it on Sunday’s, Wednesday’s, and Friday’s until the end of the month.
Most of the strumming takes place on the chord changes which often occur on Beats 1 and 3. When I’m strumming twice per chord, those strums are on the beat. Does that help?
I’m no longer *helpless, thank you so much for this amazing tutorial. Hopefully I’ll blow my friends away* with my new skills although I may never be *satisfied* with how I sound. But *i know* that if I still feel *helpless* *I’ll be back* to this awesome tutorial.

She said
"You have married an Icarus
He has flown too close to the sun"
Don't take another step in my direction
I can't be trusted around you
Don't think you can talk your way
Into my arms, into my arms
I'm burning the letters you wrote me
You can stand over there if you want
I don't know who you are
I have so much to learn
I'm re-reading your letters
And watching them burn (burn)
I'm watching them burn (burn)
You published the letters she wrote to you
You told the whole world
How you brought this girl into our bed
In clearing your name, you have ruined our lives
Heaven forbid someone whisper
"He's part of some scheme"
Your enemy whispers
So you have to scream
I know about whispers
I see how you look at my sister
Don't
I'm not naive
I have seen women around you
Don't
Think I don't see
How they fall for your charms
All your charms
I'm erasing myself from the narrative
Let future historians wonder how Eliza reacted
When you broke her heart
You have thrown it all away
Stand back, watch it burn
Just watch it all burn
And when the time comes
Explain to the children
The pain and embarrassment
You put their mother through
When will you learn
That they are your legacy?
We are your legacy
If you thought you were mine (mine, mine)
Don't
First burn is so cool! I would love to make a tutorial for that at some point!
yesss i love burn and first burn!
Do you have a chord a sheet of this?

Very good tutorial!💗
Thank you!
this was very helpful thank you !!
You’re a wonderful teacher! Thank you!
Love!!! Finally someone to show me how to hold the ukulele with my ample bosom!!!! LoL
It is a very real struggle 😂
I figured out the intro if anyone wants it:
(first string) 4 7 10 12 10 7 3 5 10 12 10 7 4 7 10 12 7 12 10 7 12 10 7
Omg I need to try this asap
Just gotta say I messed up at 6:58 because I got distracted by the adorable kitty!
Lol. I’m sorry that you got distracted but he is basically the best cat ever!
This tutorial is so amazing! Your voice sounds like Phillipa Soo

I love your catsssssssss ..btw ive learned a lot thanks💖
I’m glad it helped! And I love them so much! Sadly, because of where I film for lighting purposes, they aren’t able to be in the more recent videos :(
YOU LOOK LIKE ELIZABETH IN THE MUSICAL OMG Awesome!
Thank you! That is a nice compliment!
Can you do a tutorial for the plucking intro?

Thanks for the help😄😄
Of course! I’m glad you found the tutorial helpful :)
Could you do Cecily Smith from fly by night?? Please
Can you make a fingerpicking tutorial on Helplessly by Tatania manaois....

Your so amazing i love you!
Oh my gosh, thank you :)
Thank you! 💞💞💞💞💞🌺
Oof. I haven't even learned beginning stuff, and this was incredibly hard. I guess I have to learn some things first, haha.
I’m actually doing a beginner ukulele series that you might want to check out! It’s called Let’s play ukulele! New videos come out for it on Sunday’s, Wednesday’s, and Friday’s until the end of the month.
@@CoryTeachesMusic sounds amazing!
can't e7 also be played as 0202?
What am I listening to
I need a little help with the second part. What words do we change chords on? I keep rewatching and cant get it right
When going through the tutorial, you will change chords when the chord letter lines up with the lyrics underneath. Does that kinda help?
I know that, but I was wondering what would help keep time for when I'm playing solo?
Fish Fingers And Custard Metronome?
is your ukuleles strings like the 4th string is a and the 1st string is g?
The opposite actually. The G is actually strong 4 (the string closest to your face) and A is 1 (closet to the ground when you are holding it.)
I can't do the E7 ;(
Is this on the on beat
Most of the strumming takes place on the chord changes which often occur on Beats 1 and 3. When I’m strumming twice per chord, those strums are on the beat. Does that help?
Thank you!!!! I know I need to work on bar chords eventually but Bm is such an awful key
It’s true lol. My least favorite chord is E Major. I think everyone has keys and chords that they hate. 😂😂
👍🏻♥️
