When people say they are self made it’s usually because they are making it without the support that typical people have. For example a solid group of friends, parents, family etc. having those basic connections plays a huge role in success. When there is an absence of that you have to push yourself, you have to be there for yourself. You have to do all the things on your own that others are being supported, loved, guided and accepted through. On a spiritual, emotional and mental level you are doing it yourself hence self made.
