1969 Porsche 917K Le Mans Winner - Exhaust SOUNDS!

During the Goodwood Festival of Speed I have filmed this brutal 1969 Porsche 917K with Gulf livery. You will see it in action at the famous hill climb. In this video you will see also other classic racing Porsches in action. I hope you will enjoy the video.
The Porsche was very sensational because of the unique composition of the car. The chassis was made of aluminum, the body of glass fiber reinforced plastic and the engine was a so-called 180°-V12 (a combination of two Porsche 911 engines). The Porsche 917 was used a lot during the 24 hours of Le Mans where it won in 1970 and 1971. The car also won the 12 hours of Sebring in 1971.
This particular car was famously crashed during its feature in Steve McQueen's film 'Le Mans'.
