I have Fortuner 4x4 2009 model and a Ford Everest 2.2 2017 model.

- maintenance cost is low
- durability. For 15 years id say it is top notch.
Everest 2017 2.2 engine turbo

- smooth driving
- malambot nga lang ang shock to the point na ma alog pag nag kurbada
- High maintenance cost
- pangkasal lang para maporma din.
Same fuel consumption based on my observation.
I still use my fortuner for everyday use. Still in perfect engine condition

Our family car is a 2020 Fortuner G, I can say hindi naman sa matagtag pero I can say medyo maalog pag sa mga road imperfections.

Your explanation about Fortuner's matagtag reputation is good and understandable.
Your fuel consumption test using full tank method is good. But reporting it you should include the average speed during the test. Although that is not possible this time due to your trip profile.
I have driven a Montero 4x2 GLS for 4.5yrs now and the fuel consumption is directly correlated to the speed. A low kph will mean traffic condition and result to high km/li.
You mentioned tha 27.9km took 2 hrs. At 14 kph average, I would say that Fortuners fuel consumption is pretty bad.

Sa lahat ng SUV ang fortuner ang pinakamatipid..impressive...ung tagtag naman ung sabi nya tama lng naman na di masyado...lahat kasi ng shock ng SUV ang fortuner ang pinakamatigas at pinakamatibay pro loaded sya napaka ganda ng ride..at ang fortuner prin ang pinakamahal kesa everest..

Agree. Durability and reliability. Ease of maintenance. Actually, not only Fortuner, but Toyota in general.

Pareho ba ng traffic condition? I don't think nakuha mo yung point ng fuel test consumption. I don't think aabot ng 7kpl ang hi-ace mo under the same traffic scenario.

is the fuel consumption of old and new fortuner same lang? since you have 4 passengers here and the other consumption videos were 1 or 2 lang, how do you compare now?
if you are referring to the 2.5D4D being the old one, compared to this 2.4 that I tested, I think the fuel consumption in the city will not make any significant difference. now there's the 2.8 engine that's also new and more powerful. I wish I can test drive one so that I can provide realistic data.
for your second question, from the 6.3kpl result with 4 passengers we had on this test, I'd say it can go up to 6.5 to 6.8 with me alone as the driver.

Mas tipid mux 3.0 ko akyatan dito sa baguio 8-10 city average ilang test nayan pag long drive papunta mt.province marami kurbaan at akyatan average 12-14km/l pag uminit mas lalo tumipid walo pa kami.
Sa mux official UA-cam 1,675 km ang tinakbo ng mux 2023 at 20km/L
Pa iba iba ang resulta hehe.
Sorry Sir pero hindi ako maniniwala na kaya mag 8kpl ng MUX or ng kahit na anong SUV na umabot ng 8kpl within Baguio. Traffic na, akyatan pa. Pinaka maganda na nyan ang 5kpl sa estimate ko.

Yung hitsura at porma subjective yan kanya kanya tayo ng taste pero since tinatanong mo opinion ko, mas type ko yung Fortuner V, pero sa tipid tahimik comfort sa Montero ako.
