Glad it’s helped even if just a little. The market has opened up a lot since making this video, quite a few companies now producing acrylic setups. Maybe I need to do a new video.
@@TarantulaRookie I'm looking forward to my first invert show coming up in early August at Glasgow. I have 7 JS. 4 PR.Florias (all female), 1 PR.Soroa (female), 1 PR.Bahamas (meant to be female but has this beautiful light pale mint green chelicerae that isn't uncommon in young females but just going to wait on next moult) . I took in a zebra spider I'm looking after until the weather is consistent she is a really healthy young female who is actually eating well on fruit flies (I heard it is very hard to keep them alive because they tend to starve to death.) I recently lost a really cool wild caught JS that I had never come across in my life because personally I had only ever come across Zebra JS and he was a Fleecy JS and what an awesome looking spood he was. I called him Scarf and how I somehow spotted this miniscule (and he was mature) wee thing on my bathroom floor where he was clearly starving and had been living out the colder months there. I set up a cup and put in some 🍌🪰 and I know of one that he took almost immediately, maybe another some point after that but I noticed he never went for another one again even though there were at least 3 in the cup with him. Also noticed he was absolutely incapable of climbing the cup wall this could be that because he was a wild spood and had only ever adapted to climb trees, rocks, wall, fence posts etc. Anyways it was almost near to impossible to find out anything about this species of JS in the UK or most UK JS but what I found is that these spood are so miniscule that they actually prey on wood mites for example so that gives you an idea of how small and I can't see a female being a hell of a lot bigger. I have to say that Scarf did pass away and my feeling is that he starved to death or it was because he was a mature man but an absolutely gorgeous looking spood to look at for UK native. I shared Scarf' story from the beginning to end with Maria Spoodernest and she said she's never seen a JS like him and that he had really beautiful marking, colourations. I am currently starting a new nano community tank for some tropical 🐠, probably a river themed tank for cold water fish and am planning of school white cloud mountain minnows and then a few rehousing's for my JS which leaves me more enclosures 🤔➕🕷️➕🐠🟰😄😁🙃 PS ~ it's long, I know 😅 ✌️➕💙4️⃣🕷️
@@littlenikki9539 that’s a pretty cool story though. Enjoy the Glasgow show in august. The invert shows are superb. I just worked at my first one in London. Was superb.
That enclosure, rear left, is a Custom Aquaria tank. They make all sorts of glass enclosures and the owners are absolutely some of the nicest people you could meet. Inside that is our oldest Asian Forest scorpion, the H Silenus.
Great information and greatly appreciated as I have been sampling a few different enclosures and I prefer to check reviews before making a commitment to purchasing one ... WellDone and Keep Up The Good Work Matt 👍 I Love the chanel 👏
Nice review mate, I'm quite liking the spoodernest one, with regards to the other two, being flat pack and not solid joints around the base, have you had problems with water leaks, just curious.
The spider shop one is too new to tell, but it certainly won’t be 💯 % waterproof. The mantis den ones, as I mentioned do have a minimal warping round the corners so for my balfouri and the brachys, there isn’t really an issue, but for the spiders which require far higher moisture I have had some drips along the lower seams. However I’ve used either a small amount of hot glue or silicone on the corners and the issue has been resolved for now. They are still really nice enclosures, and I still buy them for when the slings outgrow their tubs.
She is a small one person family business - and as the enclosures are pre built shipping would be a menace. But on the flip side you have Tarantula Cribs which we struggle to get here at a reasonable price due to shipping also
Great first video T.rookie 🤘🧡

Love that spoodernest enclosure thank you

That was great. Exactlywhat I was looking for to help me choose.

Great video, purely out of curiosity what is that tank on the left? In between the two skulls
