POLAND was, BY FAR, the most welcoming and friendly country I"ve been in the whole Europe, I went there twice.... not felt welcome at all in Italy, France and Portugal, but Poland (Slovakia and Hungary in a minor degree) it was another history.... I can't say how it would be there as an expat or immigrant, but as Tourist it was amazing! I tell my friends down here that Polish are the brazilians of europe...hahahahahah

It's kinda of nature park, in which you're all walking around the "Odra" (Polish-Chech border) and watching beautiful nature sceneries. My paternal grandfather lived there before immigrating to the U.S. just before World War 1 started. I wonder if there are any Nieckarz family still there? I learned that many were killed, even the children, by Ukrainian nationalists.

Pamiętam jak zabrałem znajomych na urodziny do Bohumina po drugiej stronie granicy, miały być Katowice a się skończyło na spontan tripie do Chałupek i pieszo przeszliśmy na czeską strone, wracamy po paru piwkach na pociąg powrotny do Katowic i w Chałupkach jest Orlen to na hot dogi przed powrotem, na tym Orlenie są sami czesi, do tego stopnia, że Pani na kasie była w ciężkim szoku jak usłyszała od nas "Dzień dobry" :)
